Larry Joe Coleman, 67, of Sulphur, was called to Heaven on Jan. 4, 2022,
surrounded by his family. Larry was born on June 15, 1954, in Hodge, La., to Marvin and Vonice (Hinton) Coleman. He was a 1972 graduate of Sulphur High School and retired from Firestone Polymers after 23 years. Larry loved spending time with his family, listening to gospel music and adored his dog, Carson. He was a huge fan of the LSU Tigers and Houston Astros. Larry was a member of Houston River Baptist Church.
Larry was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend.
Left to cherish is memory is his wife of 34 years, Belinda Coleman; daughter, Chelsey Coleman; son, Gabriel Coleman; bonus daughter, Taylee Kuykendall; sister, Tricia McGee (David); and his brother, Richard Coleman (Cheryl). He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will all greatly miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services for Larry will be held on Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with The Rev. Lonnie Gothrup officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. and will resume on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Terry Kuykendall, Tyler Kuykendall, Robert Cupit, Andy Pyles, Randy Richard, and Brian Shannon. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Lounsberry and Wes Harvey.
