Paul Christopher Gaines, 48, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021 in his residence.

He was a native of New Orleans and had been a resident of Sulphur for the last 20 years coming from Houston, Texas. Paul was an auto mechanic by trade and had previously served as a firefighter for the Lake Charles Fire Department. He enjoyed spending time with his dog, Dexter, and cooking.

Survivors include his daughter, MiKayleigh Jo Gaines; and his sister, Nita Sue Gaines, both of Sulphur. He is preceded in death by his parents, Betty and James Gaines; and his brother, Kenneth Michael Gaines.
