Former LSU quarterback Max Johnson made it official on Friday when he announced on Twitter that he would be transferring to Texas A&M.

Johnson had started the Tigers’ last 14 games — all of this season’s and the final two of the 2020 season — going 8-6.

But LSU also picked up a player at a position of need when offensive lineman Miles Frazier of Florida International announced he was transferring to play for the Tigers.

Frazier chose the Tigers over Ohio State and Florida State.

Johnson will follow his younger brother Jake to Texas A&M. The younger Johnson, one of the top rated high school tight ends in the county, had been committed to LSU but switched to the Aggies shortly before national signing day Wednesday.

Oddly, the last pass Max Johnson threw for LSU was a 28-yard touchdown pass to beat Texas A&M in the final seconds.
