Frederick was an active member of St. Henry Catholic Church where he served as an usher, a Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the Knights of Peter Claver.

He began his career at Memorial Hospital and was then employed by PPG. He also started a business with his three sons. Frederick retired from PPG in 2001 after 27 years of service.

He was a talented landscape artist and gardener, and his yard was always kept in immaculate condition.

He instilled Christian values in his children and the family prayed the rosary together nightly.

Frederick had a quiet strength and dignity, but he also loved to joke and laugh.  The older he became the more he told funny and interesting stories in his calm, quiet voice.
