Patrick “Pat” Edwin Rogers

Patrick Edwin “Pat” Rogers of Lake Charles, La. passed away peacefully at a local hospital on Nov. 26, 2021.
Pat was born to parents Carl and Shirley Cooper Rogers in Anadarko, Okla. on Dec. 12,1957. He moved to Houston, Texas when he was eight. Pat traveled most of his life working construction. He and his wife Kay moved to Lake Charles, La. in 1999 and have made it their home.
Pat was a man of many talents and hobbies. God and his family were his life. He loved the outdoors and was especially fond of the beach. Gardening was a passion and his favorite flowers included: Tropicana roses, orchids and Christmas Cacti. He loved to fish, hunt and in particular loved shrimping with a cast net. Helping those in his community who could not help themselves was something Pat was known for; he was a kind and loving person. John Wayne movies and Fox News were his favorite things to watch when he had some down time.
Patrick is welcomed into heaven by his parents; sister-in-law, Denise Rogers; and his buddy and companion, Patrick Isador “Izzie” Rogers.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 22 years, Kay Hudson Rogers of Lake Charles, La.; son, Christopher Rogers of Colorado; daughter, Stacy Rogers of Lake Charles, La.; daughter-in-law, Pam Rogers of Colorado; step-son, Hugh Luker of Alabama; brother, Michael Rogers of Richmond, Texas, girlfriend, Renee Michulka; and sister, Sharon Hicks and husband Dan of Flemingsburg, Ky.
Grandchildren, Roland “Bubba” Graham of Sulphur, La., Makenzie Rogers of Coloado, and Jordyn Rogers of Lake Charles, La.
He is also missed by a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held at St. Luke Simpson Methodist Church in Lake Charles, La. on Wednesday Dec. 1, 2021 at 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Luke Simpson Methodist Church at 2 p.m. following visitation.
Honorary Pallbearers are his Sunday School Class “The Seekers”.
Burial will follow services at Orange Grove/ Graceland cemetery on Dec. 1, 2021.
