Upon returning home he founded Off Highway Equipment. He also was owner/operator as an independent truck driver, and it was fate that brought him to meet his bride to be Linda on what could be said as his favorite holiday, July 4 , Independence Day.

He was a patient and giving man, so much that he sat through and enjoyed Disney’s Little Mermaid for their first date. They exchanged vows on Jan. 12, 1991 and settled into the Historical Family Home in The Garden District of Lake Charles.

He and Linda owned and operated “Towaways Wrecker Service” for more than 25 years. He was a member of the Idlers Show Car & Truck Club, and together they organized and attended various car shows, took trips on his motorcycle, or enjoyed a quiet fishing spot. He was a member of Krewe Du Bon Couer, serving as a past duke and king.

Red White & Blue, his heart beat true, he was a proud patriot to the place he called home. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. He was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where he served as Head Usher for many years.

He was welcomed into Heaven on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021 by his parents, and a brother, Richard Mesh.

Those left to cherish his memory and spirit: his wife of 30 years, Linda Gail Mesh; his children, Glenn (Connie) Foster, Darren (Stephanie) Foster, Jude Mesh, Christina (Patrick) Blanchard; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.

The family will welcome friends at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021 beginning at 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. A Rosary to be prayed at 6 p.m. followed by a Knights of Columbus presentation.  Visitation will resume Wednesday Nov. 17, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Cathedral Catholic Church beginning at 9 a.m. until time of service.
