Which team had the biggest win?

WA: Lake Charles College Prep clinched a share of the District 4-3A title with a thrilling 4-3A win over Iowa. The Trailblazers have won or shared the district title for four consecutive seasons.

RA: Sulphur battled back from a 20-10 deficit to beat New Iberia 34-20 for its third consecutive win. It is the Tors’ longest win streak since 2018. Quarterback Gage Trahan threw for more than 200 yards for a second consecutive game, and Kaden Blalock made a season-high eight catches for 173 yards.

Name a large schools player of the week.

WA: Leesville’s Caleb Gallashaw ran for 245 yards and a touchdown in a 34-7 win over Tioga. The win made the Wampus Cats the District 4-4A champions.

RA: Westlake senior quarterback Jamaal Guillory ran for a season-high 221 yards and four touchdowns and threw one to Tristan Goodly to lead the Rams to a 61-23 win over St. Louis Catholic. The Rams need a win at Jennings next week to secure a first-round home playoff game.

Name a small schools player of the week.

WA: Hamilton Christian’s Ze’beian Doffney ran for 190 yards and six touchdowns in a 64-30 win over East Beauregard. The win means the Warriors can clinch a share of the District 4-1A title with a win over Merryville next week.

RA: Basile’s Ethan Bazinet ran for 200 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Bearcats to their fourth consecutive win. A win at home against Oberlin next week will earn the Bearcats at least a share of the District 4-1A title.
