On Aug. 27, 2021 our beloved Madelyn Claire Shaw, 25, passed away at a hospital in Houston,Texas. At age 16, Madelyn put herself on the organ donor registry. This gift allowed her to be able to save four lives through organ donation and help countless others through tissue donation.

Madelyn was born in Lake Charles, La. on Aug. 9, 1996 to Kelly Lanier Reeves and Jared Shaw. She later moved to Houston to live with her aunt, Chelleen Shaw.

Madelyn had a love for beauty, art and music. She enriched our lives with her beautiful voice, giving spirit, and colorful hair. May she continue to sing in the hearts of her recipients and be a constant reminder of love and hope. She was a Licensed Esthetician and had recently started cosmetology school.

She is survived by her mother, Kelly Lanier Reeves; father, Jared Shaw (Sarah); sisters, Taylor Henderson, Hannah Shaw, and Tiffanie Savage; brother, Ryder Reeves; grandparents, Dudley and Shirley Shaw; step-grandfather, Eric Sylvester; aunts, Chelleen Shaw and Jackie Bourque (Tony); uncles, Joey Ricci and Luke Sylvester; and her cat, Sagan.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Jody Sylvester.
