Donna Ferguson, age 89, passed away in the comfort of her home on October 18, 2021.

Donna was born in Courtland, Kansas to Alfred and Mary Freed and lived most of her life in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Donna is survived by children, Glenda Tupper (Randy), Jeff Ferguson (Lisa) and Jayne Colavecchia (Robert); five grandchildren, Greg Tupper (Emily), Matt Tupper (Amber), Drew Ferguson, Lexi Colavecchia, and Carly Colavecchia; three great grandchildren; and sister, Ann Bushnel of Phillipsburg, Kansas.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Clayton Ferguson and her brothers, Harold and Jim Freed.

Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 beginning at 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. A Celebration of Life will be led by Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Prien Memorial Park.

Donna’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to her caregivers for their compassion and are sincerely grateful to Tresa, Lisa and Symentha who comforted and cared for her and our family.
