Milton “Piglet” Gregory Trahan

VINTON – Milton “Piglet” Gregory Trahan, age 55, of Vinton, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021. Greg was born August 26, 1966 in Lake Charles, LA.
Greg joined the United States Army after graduating high school in 1984. He was stationed in Baltimore, Maryland where he became experienced in telecommunications & fiber optics. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton. In Greg’s younger years he was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting trips with his dad and brother. He enjoyed playing baseball and tournament softball in his earlier years. The thing that Greg cherished the most was spending time with his son, Brett.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Brett Trahan (Katie) of Starks (also expecting first granddaughter on the way); his loving mother, Alma Levada Trahan of Vinton; his partner and caretaker Tina Glisson of Vinton; his siblings, Mitzi Bond (Joe) of Singer, Jeffery Todd Trahan (Kathy) of Sulphur, Cathy Hoffpauir (George) of Vinton, Wendy Trahan of Mont Belvieu, TX, Sunny Miller (Mike) of DeQuincy, Jade English (Conor) of Lake Charles; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends. Greg is preceded in death by his father, Milton Joseph Trahan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2021 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. His nephew, Rev. Samuel Bond will officiate along with Rev. Carlos Garcia. Interment will follow at Mimosa Pines South Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 8:30-10 a.m. with a Cursillo Rosary beginning at 10 a.m. in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. In lieu of flowers the family requests mass donations in Greg’s memory to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1502 Industrial St., Vinton, LA 70668.
