Cynthia Powell passed away with her husband of almost 62
years at her bedside in Seabrook, TX. Born and raised in Birmingham, AL, Mrs. Powell obtained a teaching degree from Auburn Univ. She worked as a special ed teacher for ~15 years, then ran successful sales groups, earning trips to exotic locations
worldwide. In retirement, they sold their house in Lake Charles, LA and lived aboard a few sailboats, cruising to the Bahamas & Chesapeake Bay area. She is survived by her husband, David E. Powell; her daughter, Kim Powell; her son, Craig Powell;
her two sisters, Betty Motlow Johnston and Sue Motlow Stephens Haver; grandchildren Chris and Ellie Powell, among others.”
