Junius Jackson Jr

Junius Jackson Jr., a man of God, was born on March 24,
1939, to the late Junius Nicholas Jackson Sr. and the late Lucille Eaglin Jackson in Welsh, LA. On April 4, 2021, God called home the beautiful soul of Junius Jackson Jr. with open arms. Junius Jackson Jr. attended Bethune High School in Welsh, LA.
He accepted Christ at an early age where he later joined New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend A. White. He served as a faithful deacon and head prayer warrior under the leadership of Pastor Jerry Jackson Jr. Deacon Jackson enjoyed
reading his bible and sharing his love for God with his family and friends. Junius was a hard worker and did various jobs but his passion was working as a farmer. He also enjoyed watching television; he loved western movies, wrestling, and watching
his favorite team the New Orleans Saints.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Junius Jackson Sr. and Lucille Jackson; his wife Nancy Jean Achane Jackson; his son John Jackson; his great-grandson Deontay Wilridge; his sister Jeanette
Jones Jackson; and his brothers Sidney Lee Jackson Sr. and Edward Jackson Sr. He leaves to live his legacy five daughters and two sons; Minister Loretta Douglas(Oral) of Fort Myers, FL; Darlene Wilridge, Patricia Jackson(Burnell), and Jennifer
Jackson(Dejuan), all of Lake Charles, LA. and Joanne Jackson, Junius Jackson III(Glenda), and Arnold Jackson(Crystal), all of Welsh, LA. And five brothers Jerry Jackson Sr., Marshall Jackson(Louise), Eddie Jackson, Jerome Jackson(Rachel), all of
Welsh, LA; Ricci Jackson of Houston, TX. And one sister Jeannell Vital of Welsh, LA.
He also leaves to cherish his memories 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; a host of in-laws, godchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives
and friends whom he loved dearly.
He will be deeply missed by a special friend Edna Melanson Lyons. To know Him was to love Him.
His visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, from 9 a.m. to noon, funeral service to
immediately follow at New Hope Baptist Church in Welsh, LA. Burial in Eastridge Cemetery under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel.
