IOWA – Tina Michelle Benoit died Friday, March 19, 2021, at the age of 50. Funeral services are Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 2 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.

Linda Kay Kohler Bonner

Linda Kay Kohler Bonner, 66, passed away peacefully March 18, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lake Charles, La on Jan. 24 1955 to her parents Colonel Haley E and Lela B Kohler. The baby of five children, Linda was the “apple” of her daddy’s eyes.

She graduated from Lagrange Senior High in 1971 and was the Flag Corps captain for 3 years. Linda graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1976 with a dual degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She enjoyed a successful career with United Way of Alabama for 18 years.

Left to cherish her loving memory are her three children: Becky Nave (Josh), Erin Kelly (Bradley) and Ryan Bonner (Ashley), her sister Sandra Earthmen (Bob) of Houston, Texas, brothers Mike Kohler (Elaine) of Lake Charles, Karl Kohler (Sheila) of Lake Charles and 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Steve Kohler. Funeral will be Tuesday, March 23 at 1 p.m. in Sanford, N.C. IOWA- Kenneth R. Bourgeois died Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the age of 85. Funeral services will be held in First United Methodist Church in Iowa, 301 S. Kinney, Iowa, LA, on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.

Donald Broussard

Donald “Bubbie” Broussard, 84, of Carlyss, La passed away on March 20, 2021 in his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Bubbie was born on Feb. 14, 1937 in Hackberry, La to Oscar “Teca” and Amy Courmier Broussard. He was known for his love for his family, hunting, fishing, and softball. He also enjoyed gardening, watching westerns, and being around family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 39 years, Twiley Broussard; three children, Amy Bufford and husband Bobby, Melanie Fuselier and husband Denny, and Randy Broussard and wife Sabrina; two stepchildren, Sheri East and Terrie Frey; eight grandchildren, four step grandchildren; six great grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; two siblings, Faye Vincent and husband Burnell and Lennie Broussard and wife Susan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar “Teca” and Amy Courmier Broussard.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Visitation will be at St. Peter Catholic Church Hall from 10 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at noon. Burial will be at Hackberry Community Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Reverend Arvind Minz, H.G.N. will officiate services.

Ruth Deville Broussard

Ruth (Ruthie) Deville Broussard, 96, of Lake Charles, La died Friday, March 19, 2021 in her son’s home. Her funeral mass will be held at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception Church at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 22, 2021. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.

Pierre Lunsford Deville, 88, of Moss Bluff, La, died Thursday, March 18, 2021 in a local hospital. His funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Burial with military honors will be at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Jennings.

Dora Lee Hayes, 93, of Sulphur died Thursday, March 18, 2021. Funeral services honoring Dora’s life will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in Johnson & Robison Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South.

Jailey Amanda Shae Nassar, 19, of Lake Charles, La passed away on March 18, 2021.

Jailey was born on Sept. 4, 2001 in Lake Charles, La to Jared Nassar and Stefanie Glidewell. She was known for sweet and kind spirit and will be missed by all who knew her. She was the ray of sunshine that brightened any bad day. She loved being around friends and family and dearly adored her siblings and her nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish her memories are her father, Jared Nassar and wife Brandy; her mother, Stefanie Glidewell; four siblings, Erin Glidewell , Mathieu Keenan, Keeley Keenan, and Karter Jackson; nieces and nephews, Oaklynn McMillon,, Jonah McMillon, and Tatum McMillon; paternal grandparents, Charlotte and Davis Nassar.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Kimberly Glidewell; great grandmother, Mildred Glidewell; and one uncle, Jordan Adams.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will begin from 11 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Cremation will follow funeral services under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
