Jane Bonham Anderson
Jane Bonham Anderson, 77, of Lake Charles, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021, in a hospital in a New Orleans suburb.
Mrs. Anderson was born on June 17, 1943, in Lake Charles where she was raised and graduated from Lake Charles High School. At the age of 15 she met her future husband, Isaac Roger Anderson. Mrs. Anderson later attended Newcomb-Tulane College until marrying Isaac and becoming an Air Force Officer’s wife. As a working mother of 3, Mrs. Anderson continued her education at Community College in West Virginia where she received her associate degree as a medical technician. Following graduation, she began her career as a lab technician and went to become a manager for several labs in Richmond, VA and retired at the age of 51. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
Upon retirement, she was able to travel the world and do what she loved, visiting family and friends worldwide. Along with traveling, she enjoyed quilting and playing Mahjong.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Barbara Edelman (Mario Saracino) of St. Louis, Mo., Robin Anderson (Melissa) of Moseley, Va., and John Anderson of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, John Briggs (Susan) of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Payton Briggs Anderson, Stuart Bach Anderson, Kerlin Rohrer Anderson, Chandler Bonham Anderson, and Brooks Isaac Anderson; and a beloved dog companion, Anna Belle. She also leaves behind a very special cousin and friend, Sue Kerlin of Houston and a long time companion, Doug Ragusa of Lake Charles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Roger Anderson; parents, Mary Jane and Charles Briggs; a sister, Claire Briggs Mack; and a brother, Mark Briggs.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. The Rev. Jim Lueckenhoff will officiate. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home and will be in inurned in the church columbarium following the services. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the church hall from noon until the start of the service in the church. Following the services, the family invites attendees to join them at Mrs. Anderson’s home for a reception.

Ricardo Cano
Ricardo Cano, 33, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021.
Born in Michigan, Ricardo moved to Vinton at the age of 12 and has resided in Southwest Louisiana for the last 21 years. He had a gift for working with his hands; he enjoyed using his mechanical skills to work on cars, 4-wheelers, and anything with an engine. Ricardo’s carpentry talent was used to restore and build homes in residential construction. He enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler and joking around. Ricardo was happiest when he had all of his children and family members together. He loved to make people laugh and see others happy.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jose and Gracie Cano; brother, Jose Cano Jr. and his wife Amanda; sister, Krystal Cano; six children, Ky`Asia Malvo, Bryonna Cano, Brayden Cano, Isabella Cano, Prince Cano and Gabriel Cano; maternal grandmother, Maria Garcia; paternal grandmother, Juanita Cano; uncles, Freddy Garica, Val Garcia, Sammy Garcia, Luis Cano and Monico Cano.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Senovio Garica; and uncle, Jose Garcia.
The family will honor Ricardo’s wishes and no services will be held. Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home.
Robert Linus Caswell
Robert Linus Caswell, 83, a resident of Lake Charles, passed from this life onto his eternal reward on Feb. 22, 2021, in the comfort of his home surrounded by those he loved most.
Mr. Caswell was a native of Jennings, La., and graduated from Jennings High School, where he played football. Robert served with distinction in the U.S. Air Force, where he retired after 20 years of honorable and dedicated service. Mr. Caswell’s three grandsons followed in his footsteps in rendering their country service in the U.S. Military. He later served as sales manager for the Lake Charles American Press. Mr. Caswell was ever faithful to his Lord and savior. He served as a Deacon at University Baptist Church, where he and his wife worshiped every Sunday.
In his spare time, he enjoyed golf, traveling in his motorhome, and spending time with his family, which included chasing his grandchildren and great-grandchildren to their sporting and military functions all over the country. He was known to all the teams as “Paw.” He served as President of the Neighborhood Watch Program. He took great pride in manicuring his lawn. No one could do it as well as him.
Mr. Caswell was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Caswell; mother, Lelia Boone Caswell; stepmother, Lovina (Tootsie) Caswell; sisters, Belle Miller Blackwell, Mae Mills, Lela Caswell and Vinnie Ann Richard; brothers, Joe, Michael and Ricky Caswell, and beloved canine companion, Precious.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 63 Years, Lila Dee Ray Caswell; children, Theresa Thompson and husband Leon, Tina Northcutt and husband Mike, Katrina Caswell, Robert Caswell and wife Gay; grandchildren: Michael Northcutt and wife Leyna, Justin Northcutt and wife Laura, Garrett Thompson and wife Ashlie, and Jessica Caswell, seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Vida Lee McFarlain, Bud Caswell, James Caswell, Billy Caswell, and Brenda Stenseth, and beloved canine companion, Bella who stayed by his side until the end.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, in the sanctuary of University Baptist Church from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, in the sanctuary of University Baptist Church. The Revs. Charles Miller and John Astling are to officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in the Southwest Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery in Jennings.
Honored to serve as pallbearers: Mike Northcutt, Michael and Justin Northcutt, Billy Caswell, Bert Caswell, and Karl Caswell. Honorary pallbearer will be Garrett Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude’s Children’s s hospital, or the American Cancer Society.

Justin Daniel Demary, 25, of Iowa, La., passed away tragically on Monday, February 22, 2021.
Justin was born May 10, 1995, in Lake Charles, La., raised in Grand Lake, La., and later moved to Iowa, La., where he graduated from Iowa High School in 2013. He attended Pearl River Community College and graduated from Minot State University, where he received his degree in Corporate Fitness with a minor in Spanish. Justin was a Nationally Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), previously worked for Heilman’s Performance, and later interned at Cressey Sports Performance in Jupiter, Fla., and at Driveline Baseball in Kent, Wash. He hit a homerun when he landed his dream job as a strength and conditioning coach in the Boston Red Sox Minor League System, until the pandemic cut his dreams short and he returned home.
Justin was an amazing and accomplished baseball player. He played on various travel baseball teams throughout his life, for Grand Lake and Iowa High Schools and as #6 for Pearl River Community College, Minot State University, Acadiana Cane Cutters and BCBL in Myrtle Beach, SC. Although Justin was an only child, his friends were his brothers, whether from baseball, hunting or fishing. He enjoyed time spent with the Haydels Duck Hunting Community, loved hunting and fishing at all the various places he lived, and was great at all that he put his heart and soul into. Justin will truly be remembered as a hard worker, great listener, and an amazing guy with a beautiful soul; to know him was to love him. He served as a role model to many and will forever be missed.
Justin leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Daniel “Danny” and Tammy Demary of Iowa, La.; his girlfriend, Sydney Prigge of Gig Harbor, Wash.; grandmothers, Carol Demary of Lake Charles, and Martha Hampton of Iowa, La.; great-grandmother, Annie Marie Demary of Grand Lake, La.; aunt, Aimee Brasseaux and husband Dallas of Longville, La.; uncles, Jason Hampton and wife Anita of Sulphur, Jeff Hampton of League City, Texas, Roger Demary and wife Laurel of Seabrook, Texas, Tom Demary and wife Candace of Houston, Texas, and Randy Demary and wife Lindsay of Davis, Calif.; along with numerous cousins, other family members, friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jerry Demary and Thomas Hampton; and cousins, Connor Hampton and Eileen Demary.
Visitation will be at Lake City Baptist Church on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday from 9 a.m. until the start of the service. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, at Lake City Baptist Church, 3940 Holly Hill Road, Lake Charles, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Father Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Burial will follow in Sallier Cemetery.

Estelle “Sweetie” George
Estelle “Sweetie” George, born Oct. 21, 1925, in Crowley, to the late Felician and Marie (Boudreaux) Duhon, went to be with the love of her life, the late William Perry George I, on Feb. 14, 2021, at the age of 95.
Sweetie was a member of First Baptist Church of Sulphur, where she was a member of the choir. Her love of singing led her to join the Messiah Chorus where she was a 30-year member. Sweetie was creative and was a professional interior decorator. She decorated many of the homes on Shell Beach drive.
Sweetie was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her love for life will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Perry George I; and parents.
Sweetie is survived by her sons, Robert Larry “Bob” George (Catherine) of Arcadia, La., and Daniel Keith “Danny” George (Wanda) of Baytown, Texas; siblings, Floyd Duhon, Howard Duhon and Earline Richard; grandchildren, Dr. Jody George (Amy), Ashley Allen (Rev. Luke) Adam George and Aaron George (Terri); eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Luke Allen, officiant. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.

Lorma Duhon LeBrun
Lorma Duhon LeBrun, 91, met her loving father and savior Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021.
She was married to Roland LeBrun Sr. for 70 years. Lorma was born to Jimmy and Mamnie Duhon of Westlake, La., on May 2, 1929.
Those left to cherish her memory are her 4 children, Roland LeBrun Jr. and wife Anita, Charlotte Carruth and husband Dennis, Jerry LeBrun and wife Ann, and Sharon Dunham and husband Randy; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and one loving sibling, Clara May Smith.
She was preceded in death by Jay Duhon, Sadie Leach, Jane Louvierre.
She was a lifelong member of Houston River Baptist Church and dearly loved her Sunday school class. Lorma loved her flowers and loved sharing them with people. We have no doubt that if there are weeds anywhere in god’s gardens, she will be pulling them out.

Lucy Manuel
Lucy Manuel, age 77, of Lake Charles, La., joined her husband in Heaven on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021. Lucy was born Oct. 14, 1943, in Mamou, La.
She was a faithful member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church for all of her life. Lucy took exceptional care of her family, a devoted wife and mother to her two children as well as to many children that she took into her home to raise. She adored cooking and baking for her family; her family will miss her fig cakes the most. Lucy was a talented seamstress that would sew clothes for her children, taking extra care to include two pockets for her son’s shirts. She would always look forward to spending a girl’s night with her friends and sharing her contagious laughter. Lucy taught her family to be loyal and devoted to their family and faith. She was a loyal, devoted, and adoring mother, wife, and friend to many that is already deeply missed.
Lucy leaves behind her daughter, Katina McCoy; son, Toby Manuel; grandchildren, Joshua McCoy and wife Michele, Jennifer Marshall and husband Cory, Jacob McCoy and wife Emma, and Toby James Manuel; great-grandchildren, Grace Marshall, Graham McCoy, Camden McCoy, and Layla Marshall; sister, Jeanette Manuel; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 loving years, Vernal Manuel; brother, Randyl Guillory; as well as her parents, Isom and Luther Guillory.

Randy Poole
Randall Wayne Poole, 58, of Westlake, La., passed away on Feb. 21, 2021, at a Baton Rouge hospital.
Mr. Poole was born June 7, 1962, in Lake Charles, La., and was a lifelong resident of Westlake, La. He graduated from Barbe High School and Sowela Technical School. Mr. Poole worked for Sulphur Electric and was of the Methodist faith.
Mr. Poole is survived by his wife of 34 years, Joy Pinder Poole; son, Christopher Poole of Missouri; his father, Grady Poole and wife Glenda; and his favorite fur-buddy, Buster.
Mr. Poole was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Guidry Poole; brother, Danny Poole, and his beloved dog, Misha.
His graveside service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at Highland Memory Gardens, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Katie Black will officiate. Visitation will be at Lake City Baptist Church, 3940 Holly Hill Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70605, on Thursday from 10 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.

Ruth Hood Pulver
Ruth Hood Pulver, resident of Ponchatoula, La., went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Feb. 21, 2021. Ruth was born on Aug. 22, 1922, at Cego, Texas, to John William Sr. and Nell Strawn Hood.
She graduated from high school and moved with her family to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she met and married Everett Owen Pulver from Louisiana on July 15,1942. During World War II, Ruth and her baby daughters relocated to Louisiana to stay with family while Owen shipped off to the war. After the war, the family moved to Sulphur, and two sons were added. Ruth returned to school and graduated from McNeese State University in 1963. She taught for 21 years at W.W. Lewis Jr. High in Sulphur, La. Ruth was devoted to her husband, family, friends and church, First Baptist of Sulphur and later in life, First Baptist of Ponchatoula. She was well-known for her sewing, quilting, crafting and cooking. She gifted many relatives and friends with things that she made by hand, including quilts for each of her children, grandchildren and many others. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her son, Judge Russell D. Pulver (Maureen) of Fallbrook, Calif.; and daughter, R Joyce Fogleman (Leslie) of Ponchatoula, La.; and her grandchildren, Alisa LaGroue of Ponchatoula, La., John O. Fogleman of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Larry Fogleman of Tickfaw, La., Clayton Pulver of Round Rock, Texas, Russell Pulver of Johnston, Colo., Kimberly Wallace of Loveland, Colo., Travis Pulver of Noblesville, Ind., Frances Ford of Oakland, Calif., Mitchell Pulver of Pinellas Park, Fla.; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, her parents, her son Robert Owen Pulver, daughter, Rita Sue Pulver, grandchildren Clinton Pulver, Brien Dinsmore, and Jessica Pulver. Preceded also by her siblings John W. Hood, Jr. and Dorothy Hood Garner.
The family would like to thank caregivers, Mary Bridges and many from Home Instead who helped her during her last years, and North Oaks Hospice for their loving care during the last four weeks.

VINTON — Jenelle Ruth Richard, 83, went to be with our Savior on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021, in a local care center.
Jenelle was born at home in Vinton on June 14, 1937. She was a 1956 graduate of Vinton High School and went on to get her teaching degree from Northwestern State University. She was a dedicated elementary teacher for 32 years and retired from Acadia Parish school system. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, and traveling. Her family will always cherish the memories of her contagious laugh, independent personality, and love of red lipstick.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Rhonda Courvelle; nephews, Ronnie Courvelle, and Mike Courvelle and wife, Ashley; niece, Amy Courvelle LeBleu and husband, Dayton; and many cousins and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Mildred Richard.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. William Paul Temple Jr., 78, of Montreat, N.C., went to be with Jesus on Feb. 13, 2021, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, at 3 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in the Chapel (West entry). Officiating will be Toby Osborne.
Paul was born in Houston, Texas, on March 30, 1942. He was the son of William Paul Temple Sr. and Jamie Lee Temple.
Paul graduated from Texas A&M University. He married Carol, his wife of 57 years in Houston in 1963. They moved to Lake Charles, La., in 1969 where he was President of Central Testing Co. in Sulphur, La., until his retirement. Paul served as President of the Board for Boys and Girls Village in Lake Charles, La., and served as Chairman of the Board for Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries in Minden, La. Paul was a committed follower of Jesus Christ and loved helping people by delivering food baskets to the less fortunate, working in prison ministry, teaching adult Sunday school classes and volunteering with Texas Baptist Men building churches, camps, and furniture for the camps. Paul was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, having shared many Frappuccino’s and lots of hamburgers, and fries. Upon retirement, he moved to Montreat, N.C., and was a member of Christ Community Church where he sang in the choir and he also served on the prayer team at the Cove (Billy Graham Retreat Center).
Paul is survived by his wife, Carol Temple; his children, Warren Temple (Vickie) and Kathryn Caldarera (Chris); grandchildren, Blake, Taylor, Julie, and Kelly Caldarera, Courtney Howell, and Rebecca Temple; sister, Linda Snowden (Gerry) and several nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.

Calvin “Kakie” Trahan
Calvin “Kakie” Trahan, 84, passed away on Feb. 22, 2021.
Kakie was born on Jan. 25, 1937, to Elton and Venia Trahan in Lake Charles, La. Kakie enjoyed being around friends and family especially working cattle and watching his kids and grandkids in all of their endeavors. You could find Kakie driving around on his daily runs checking cattle, telling stories, and visiting everywhere he went. He started working for Texas Gas Transmission then moved on to work 28 years for Amoco and retired in 1992. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1962. He was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church in Hackberry, La. Kakie served on the Louisiana High School Rodeo Board, Hackberry Recreation District Board, and the Hackberry Drainage District Board.
Survivors include wife of 61 years, Anita Sanner Trahan; three children, Stevie Trahan and wife Suzy, Mark Trahan and wife Julie, and Chad “Pud” Trahan and wife Shelly; seven grandchildren, Blair Trahan, Abby Trahan, Jolie Trahan, Jeanne Trahan, Jacques Trahan, Reece Trahan, Calli Trahan; two living siblings, Rudy Trahan and Linda Lou Trahan; and many friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Julie Trahan.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Hackberry, La., with Father Arvind Minz H.G.N. officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at St. Peter Catholic Church Hall on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021. Rodney Brent Vincent, 68, of Sulphur, passed away on Feb. 18, 2021.
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts the family of Rodney Vincent announces his passing from this life, after a very courageous battle with numerous health problems. He passed peacefully away on Thursday evening Feb. 18, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Rodney was a retired electrician from Calcasieu Parish Police Jury. His passion in life was training racehorses. He loved this because it was something for us and all of our family to be involved in, and each and every one of them were.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Roxanne Vincent; sister, Dianne Stelly; brother-in-law that was life a son to him, Bobby Blum; and plenty of sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews that he loved, lots of them living in different states.
Rodney was very much loved and will be deeply missed.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Ruth Vincent; sisters, Mary Opal Manuel, Patsy O’Quain; his brothers, Alfa Vincent, Wayne Vincent, and Gregory Vincent; and his loving grandparents who helped raise him, Clarence and Cora Jones.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Carlyss with cremation to follow under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Visitation will begin from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Carlyss. Pastor Vince Guidry will officiate services.
The family respectfully asks that visitors wear masks and practice social distancing, adhering to local regulations regarding COVID-19.

Michael Edward Wendel Sr.
Michael Edward Wendel Sr., 77, of Westlake passed away at 5:25 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, in a local hospital.
Mr. Wendel was born in Denver, Colo., and was a graduate of Middle Township High School in New Jersey. He moved to Lake Charles during his service in the U.S. Air Force when he was stationed at Chennault Air Force Base. Mr. Wendel was a plant operator and retired from Lyondell Basell Industries. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
In his earlier years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a recreational golfer. He was an avid LSU sports fan. Mr. Wendel had also been a mentor to transplant patients through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. However, first and foremost in his life was spending time with his children and grandchildren and being a loving husband.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 44 years, Pauline “Polly” Wendel of Westlake; his children, Susan Wendel Loupe (Kirt) of Lake Charles, Michael Edward Wendel Jr. (Sarah) of Green River, Wy., and Marcy Wendel Sonnier (Matthew) of Broussard, La.; siblings, Cindy Goodroe (Louie) of North Cape May, N.J., and Jeff Wendel (Barbara) of Downingtown, Pa.; grandchildren, Hunter Loupe (Erica), Grant Loupe (Elizabeth), Hannah Griffey (Ian), Michael Edward “Trey” Wendel III, Elena, Jacob and Ava Wendel and Madalyn “Maddie” Sonnier; and one great-grandson, Christopher Loupe. He also leaves behind numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews, especially acknowledging Theresa Smith – his “Bird Dog.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Wendel and Beatrice Jaep; and a sister-in-law, Christine Burt.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in his memory can be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Lake Charles, La., or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. The family will have a private memorial service.

Harold L. Winey Sr.
Harold L. Winey Sr., 78, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.
Harold was born on June 7, 1943, to Joseph and Catherine Winey. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and became a Stallworth in his community. Giving 49 years of service to the Calcasieu Parish School system as both a teacher and principal, he educated generations of students and touched countless lives. He was a graduate of McNeese State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, Master’s Degree in Education, and a Plus 30 Certification. He made education to the kids in our community a priority and consistently led top performing schools. He received many awards and served on numerous boards. He was a great listener, mentor, and extended parent to many.
Harold was a devoted husband, father and man of God who had a thirst for life and a strong work ethic. He loved to travel and spend time with his wife and kids. In the early years, he was heavily involved in coaching his three son’s basketball and baseball teams while offering unwavering support. He was the Founder and President of the North Lake Charles Little League Baseball program. He was also Sam Houston High School’s first baseball coach guiding the team to the state playoffs in their inaugural season. With a zest for travel, each year he took his family on summer vacations covering almost every state in the country.
As his kids got older, that passion evolved to following their successes. He loved following his youngest son’s career as an LSU football standout and later NFL Professional. He also loved road trips with his wife in their RV to visit his other sons sharing in their successes. That also meant spending time with his grandkids. He was a kind and gentle soul who instilled the value of hard work and determination in his kids. He also taught them the values and belief systems that has molded them into men they have become.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Audrey; three children, Harold II (Tara), Derrick (Moquita) and Brandon (Alise); brothers, Larry Sr., Donald (Cynthia), Kenneth (Laura); sisters, Shirley Brown, Betty Rogers, Janis Winey; grandkids, Kayla Winey, Malik Winey, Aubrey Winey, Brandon Winey II, Maliah Winey, Devon Byrd, Jasmine Byrd, Lauren McNeil; sister-in-law, Betty Hunter; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to acknowledge everyone who both impacted and shared in Harold’s incredible journey. The following individuals will serve as pallbearers: Harold Winey II, Derrick Winey, Brandon Winey, Larry Winey Sr., Donald Winey and Kenneth Winey. Church service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, from 10 a.m. to noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The church is located at 1102 Mill St. Lake Charles, LA 70601.

Janet Claire Wolf
Janet Claire Wolf, 72, of Moss Bluff, passed into the arms of her Savior with her family by her side, on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021, at Lake Charles Memorial. She was born to her late parents, Kenneth W. Davis Sr. and Marie Davis on Jan. 26, 1949, in Baton Rouge, La. Janet also attended St. Joseph Academy. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, camping, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Randy Wolf of Moss Bluff; daughter, Jennifer Hicks and husband Beau of Sulphur; son, Brian Law and wife Vidya Rao of Los Angeles, Calif.; three grandchildren, Abigail Vanicor, Tyler Hicks, Parker Hicks; sister-in-law, Marsha Davis of Prairieville, La.; niece, Megan Fontenot and husband Joseph; two nephews, Kenneth W. Davis III and Brock Davis; along with her best friend and traveling partner, Beth Cannon of Baton Rouge, La.
Janet was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth W. Davis Jr.
A Celebration of Janet’s life will be held at the home of Jennifer and Beau Hicks on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, at 1 p.m.

Forrest Peyton Youngblood Jr.
Forrest Peyton Youngblood Jr., 91, of Noble, La., passed away on Feb. 16, 2021, at his family’s residence in Westlake, La.
Peyton was born Feb. 9, 1930, in Noble, La., to Forrest Peyton Youngblood Sr., and Elaine Tatum Youngblood. He served his country honorably during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He retired from Citgo in 1983 after serving thirty-seven years as an Operator. Peyton operated many businesses throughout his life. He was known as a jack-of-all-trades. There was nothing he could not fix. He lived in Westlake for forty years before returning to his hometown of Noble in 1994. Peyton was a member of Noble Baptist Church and the Noble Masonic Lodge.
Those left to cherish his memory are, his daughter, Sarah Youngblood Roy of Westlake, La.; his grandson, Jarod Roy and wife Jamie of Westlake, La.; his granddaughter, Kayla Roy of Westlake, La.; and his great-grandchildren, Madison and Brady Roy.
Peyton was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 40 years and mother of his child, Evon Craig Youngblood; his second wife of 25 years, Marilyn Campbell-Biggs-Youngblood; and his sister, Janet Youngblood.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Heart of Hospice for their compassionate care in his home during his battle with cancer.
An informal memorial service will be held at Noble Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021.
