Carrie Mae Slaughter

Carrie Mae Hilliard Slaughter, 74, was born Sept. 9,
1946, in Lake Charles, La., to the late Calvin and Almeta Garrison Hilliard. A lifelong resident of Lake Charles, she was a faithful member of Christian Baptist Church where she served as Deaconess. She was a 1964 graduate of W.O. Boston High School
and attended McNeese State University. She was a retired employee of W.O. Moss Regional Hospital after 33 years of service. Mrs. Slaughter departed this life Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020, in a local hospital. She leaves to cherish her memories two
daughters, Gwendelyn Slaughter (Larry) Stiner and Pamela Slaughter Raines; son, Norlan Anthony Slaughter; four sisters, Velma H. (Ernest) Carter, Rena H. Williams, Jacquelyn H. (Gregory) Jubert, and Deborah H. Charles; brother, Tommy (Lorraine)
Thomas; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mary Joyce H. Brown and Pamela Hilliard. Her visitation will be Saturday, Dec.
19, 2020, from 9 a.m. with her funeral following at 11 a.m. at Christian Baptist Church. Pastor Edward J. Alexander will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park.
