Police seek info
on homicide

Lake Charles Police are continuing the investigation of a homicide that occurred at 2960 Lake Street on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Police were called at 3:37 a.m. in reference to a subject lying in one of the parking lots of the Suffolk Manor Apartment Complex. When officers arrived they found one subject that had been shot. Police are asking that anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers or Det. Sgt. Willie Fontenot with the Lake Charles Police Department.

The Calcasieu Sheriff’s Office reported the following October arrests:

Vernon Paul Burgin, 38, 1065 San Juan St., Moss Bluff — home invasion; domestic abuse battery; simple battery; simple criminal damage to property from $1,000 but less than $50,000; resisting an officer by flight; drug possession; prohibited acts, drug paraphernalia. Bond: $16,500.

Caleb Dwayne Anderson, 19, 2877 S. Beglis Parkway, Sulphur — domestic abuse battery, strangulation. Bond: $5,000.

Raymond Charles Delacerda, 52, 3911 Carlyss Drive, Sulphur — possession of marijuana, first offense (14 grams or less); simple burglary.

Chrisman Llewell Kittrell, 44, 5200 Nelson Road — domestic abuse battery; aggravated criminal damage to property.

Meagan Renee Cain, 29, 2205 Roxton St., Sulphur — direct contempt of court; criminal trespass; resisting an officer; operating vehicle while license is suspended; drug possession.

Gemelle Darnae Washington, 28, Amite — driving on roadway laned for traffic; operating vehicle while license is suspended; illegal carrying of weapons during commission of a crime or in presence of CDS; illegal possession of stolen firearms, first offense; possession of marijuana, first offense (14 grams or less); drug possession; attempt and conspiracy; prohibited acts, drug paraphernalia.

Jason Lee Fontenot, 34, 6032 La. 3112, Vinton — two counts cruelty to juveniles; domestic abuse battery, child endangerment. Bond: $20,000.

Arnold James Mcgruder, 31, 2708 General Vandenburg Ave. — simple burglary; theft from $5,000 but less than $25,000; simple criminal damage to property less than $1,000; drug possession. Bond: $37,500.

Tonia Kay Stutes, 52, 3924 Brentwood Ave. — domestic abuse battery.

Rodney Oilden Sanders, 29, Fort Bend, Texas — two counts possession of synthetic marijuana, first offense; drug possession; two counts drug possession; illegal carrying of weapons during commission of a crime or in presence of CDS; illegal use of controlled dangerous substances in the presences of persons under 17.

Brandon James Zimmer, 36, 601 Mobile Village Road, Iowa, La. — drug possession; illegal carrying of weapons during commission of a crime or in presence of CDS; prohibited acts, drug paraphernalia; curfew; two counts direct contempt of court.

Keith Mitchell Newman, 29, 5859 Tom Hebert Road — aggravated assault; simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling; simple criminal damage to property $500 to $50,000; resisting an officer; battery of a police officer; theft from $1,000 but less than $5,000; direct contempt of court.

William Timothy Lapointe, 50, 415 E. Thomas St., Sulphur — domestic abuse battery, strangulation; aggravated assault.

Dwayne Ernest Willis Sr., 32, 1314 7th St. — theft less than $1,000; possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by a person convicted of certain felonies; illegal possession of stolen firearms, first offense. Bond: $92,500.

Jonathan Jeral Miles, 26, Eunice — aggravated assault with a firearm; telephone harassment. Bond: $12,500.

John James Corbett, 32, Montgomery, Texas — failure to register and notify as a sex offender or child predator.

Joseph Wayne Fontenot III, 30, 6040 Central Drive — domestic abuse battery, child endangerment.

Ashley Janelle Grundmann, 39, 1212 Carroll St., Westlake — theft of a motor vehicle from $5,000 but less than $25,000; drug possession; curfew.

Sarah Lisette Mills, 39, 4215 Benoit Lane — possession of marijuana, first offense (14 grams or less); two counts drug possession; obstruction of justice; curfew.

Jessica M. Griffin, 33, 168 Oak St., Ragley — two counts simple burglary; contraband in penal institutions prohibited; two counts theft less than $1,000; drug possession.

Clarence Lee Green, 62, 2005 Woodring St. — drug possession; prohibited acts, drug paraphernalia; possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by a person convicted of certain felonies; illegal carrying of weapons during commission of a crime or in presence of CDS.

Joseph Napolitano, 44, 1845 N. Claiborne St., Sulphur — drug possession; owner to secure registration. Bond: $22,000.

Curtis Eugene Maulden, 55, 3524 E. Roosevelt St. — two counts drug possession; prohibited acts, drug paraphernalia; illegal use of controlled dangerous substances in the presence of persons under 17; obstruction of justice.

Jeremy Romaine LeBlanc, 30, 388 S. Perkins Fetry Road, Moss Bluff — domestic abuse battery. Bond: $5,000.
