Dressler joins Memorial Medical
Memorial Medical Group welcomes Family Medicine Specialist Joseph Dressler, MD, to its staff. He serves as a hospitalist, treating and caring for patients admitted to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
Dressler holds a degree in marketing from Louisiana State University and a Masters of Business Administration from McNeese State University. He went on to receive his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.

His post-graduate training includes a family medicine residency at the Memorial/LSUHSC Family Medicine Residency Program in Lake Charles.
Adekanmbi joins Memorial Medical
Memorial Medical Group welcomes Family Medicine Specialist Ashton Adekanmbi, MD, to its staff. He serves as a hospitalist, treating and caring for patients admitted to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
Adekanmbi holds a degree in biology from Prairie View A&M University. He went on to receive his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, Roseau, Dominica. His post-graduate training includes a family medicine residency at the LSU Family Medicine Residency Program at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.
Adekanmbi is a member of the American Medical Association, American Association of Family Physicians, American College of Physicians and the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians.
Glyenn hospital’s CMN director

The Christus Ochsner Southwestern Louisiana Foundation is pleased to announce Cheyanna Glyenn will be joining the team as the Children’s Miracle Network director.
As the CMN director, Cheyanna will oversee fundraising for local children’s health initiatives — such as the Labor and Delivery Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and the Kids Team Therapy program at Christus Ochsner Lake Area Hospital. She will also manage Foundation events, including the annual Dragon Boat Races, Green Hat Fun Run/ Walk/ Crawl and Charity Cook-off and the CMN Radiothon.
Originally, from Lake Charles, Glyenn attended A.M. Barbe High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in health science from Northwestern State University. She has been an associate with Christus Health since 2007, and was previously the manager of the Christus Louisiana Athletic Club -Lake Charles.

Roach joins medical staff
Dermatology Associates of Southwest Louisiana welcomes Jenna Roach, MD, dermatologist, to their medical staff.
Originally from DeQuincy, Roach received her undergraduate degree from McNeese State University and her medical degree from Texas A&M.
She completed a residency in dermatology at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center as well as an internal medicine internship at Tulane University.
She will begin seeing patients Sept. 1.

Ware joins Merchants & Farmers with a background of more than seven years serving local financial institutions as customer service representative, loan administration and assistant to upper management.
Ware, a Lake Charles native, graduated from Grand Lake High School, class of 1996 and is a McNeese State University junior undergraduate in business administration.
Guilbeau named to racing commission
BATON ROUGE — Benjamin J. Guilbeau Jr. of Lake Charles has been reappointed to the Louisiana State Racing Commission.
The Louisiana Racing Commission reviews, regulates, governs and supervises all forms of horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering in the state.
Guilbeau is an attorney at the Stockwell Law Firm and will represent Calcasieu Parish.
Foster assumes leadership role
Merchants & Farmers Bank announces Christopher Foster has been named senior vice president of lending at the bank’s full-service location in Lake Charles.
Foster joins Merchants & Farmers with a background of 15 years serving local financial institutions in leadership roles including branch management, regional management and as a senior vice president.
Foster, a Lake Charles native, graduated from East Beauregard High School in Dry Creek, class of 1999. Foster holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing with a double major in management from McNeese State University and completed Graduate School of Banking at LSU.
Cleco recognized by J.D. Power
PINEVILLE — Cleco Power has been ranked second out of 144 electric utilities nationwide for its communication and response to the COVID-19 pandemic by J.D. Power in its second-quarter 2020 Electricity Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study.
The study, which consists of questions that measure residential customer satisfaction in multiple areas such as power quality and reliability, was conducted during the months of April, May and June.
J.D. Power added questions about the COVID-19 pandemic to the second-quarter study. Customers responded to questions about how they have been personally impacted by COVID-19, what their utility has done in response to COVID-19, how they would rank their utility’s response to COVID-19 and how the utility’s response has positively or negatively changed their impression of them.
Out of more than 23,000 national customer responses, Cleco Power customers had the second-highest percent of “more positive” customers.
On March 13, Cleco Power suspended service disconnects and late fees to assist customers experiencing financial challenges, and on April 15, the company began reimbursing customers the electronic bill payment processing fee charged by a third-party service provider.
Last month, Cleco Power announced a long-term payment plan to help customers pay off prior balances by spreading the total amount over an extended period with no interest.
