New Lacassine travel plaza

Construction is continuing on Henry’s Travel Plaza, 14390 Hwy. 101 at I-10 Exit 48 in Lacassine. The plaza will include a 24 hour convenience store, gas station and a Dairy Barn. Kendal Henry of Iowa is the owner.

New development minutes from LC

Cypress Grove is the newest Jason Rousell development just minutes from Lake Charles. He’s also builder. Ten 1.5 and 1.3 acre tracts are on blacktop with frontage at Pousson Road about ½ mile east of Iowa and the Lacassine school district.

Update: Development minutes from LC

About a year-and-a-half ago, the American Press reported on Roussell Ranch, right off Hwy. 90 in Lacassine, 18 minutes from Lake Charles. Thirty-two houses have now been built and over 40 lots have sold. Jason Roussell is developer. Other builders are welcomed.

Update: New LC school for 2021

This photo shows the progress on the new charter high school at 2801 Power Centre Parkway. Construction is scheduled to be completed by February 2021. Contractor is Trahan Construction. Architects are David Moss and Ravelle Reed.
