Information sought in hit-and-run

MOSS BLUFF — The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run that occurred at about 8 p.m. Saturday in a parking lot located off Sam Houston Jones Parkway.

Spokesperson Kayla Vincent said the truck backed into a parked car, causing damage to the car.

Anyone who can identify the truck or anyone with information about this case is asked to call Sr. Cpl. Casey Steech at 491-3605 and reference complaint number 20-30997.

LC man accused in at least four robberies

A Lake Charles man has been arrested for armed robbery and armed robbery with a firearm after a warrant was served on him Monday, authorities said.

Lake Charles Police Lt. Jeffrey Keenum said officers served the warrant at about 9 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Garland Drive.

Kennum said Timothy Rell Ore, 22, was arrested without incident by members of the SWAT team. He is accused in at least four armed robberies in various areas of the city since Feb. 16.

Ore is being charged with four counts of armed robbery and armed robbery with a firearm. Lead investigators are Cpl. Willie Fontenot, Sgt. George Miller, and Sgt. Kevin Hoover.
