Diaz nationally
certified investigator

Investigator Ashley Diaz of the Calcasieu Parish Coroner’s Office successfully completed and passed the national registry examination by the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators. This national certification is a distinguished recognition held by only about 1,950 investigators out of the nearly 7,500 investigators in the United States.

Successful completion includes supervised completion of 500 tasks performed by the investigator as well as passing the national registry examination.

The American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators is a voluntary national, not-for-profit, independent professional certification board that has been established to promote the highest standards of practice for medicolegal death investigators.

CSE named ‘Best of Bauer’

BauerFinancial, the Nation’s Premier Bank and Credit Union Rating Firm has commended CSE Federal Credit Union on its achievement of another 5-Star Superior Rating for 2019.

CSE has maintained the highest Bauer rating for financial strength and stability for 103 consecutive quarters, giving it the added status of being a “Best of Bauer Credit Union.” This designation is reserved specifically for institutions that have earned Bauer’s highest rating consistently for 100 consecutive quarters or longer.

Earning and maintaining Bauer’s 5-Star rating indicates CSE is one of the strongest credit unions in the nation.

BauerFinancial has been reporting on and analyzing the performance of U.S. banks and credit unions since 1983. No institution can pay for or opt out of a BauerFinancial rating.

Dwight completes Henry Toll Fellowship

Stephen Dwight, state representative for District 35, was recently recognized for participation in The Council of State Governments Henry Toll Fellowship during a graduation ceremony and luncheon. The event was held in conjunction with the CSG National Conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Drawing participants from 33 states in 2019, the Henry Toll Fellowship is one of the nation’s premier leadership development programs for state government officials.

Each year, the Toll Fellowship brings up to 48 of the nation’s top officials from all three branches of state government to the CSG national headquarters in Lexington, Ky., for an intensive five-day “leadership boot camp.”

The program’s sessions are designed to stimulate personal assessment and growth, while providing priceless networking and relationship-building opportunities.

City receives recognition

BATON ROUGE — The city of Lake Charles’ Partners in Parks Nature in Focus initiative along with a member of the city’s Recreation and Parks staff received statewide recognition at the Louisiana Recreation and Park Association’s annual conference.

Sasol, the corporate sponsor of the Nature in Focus experiential environmental education and conservation program, received the Merit Award in recognition of their grant to the Partners in Parks initiative. The Nature in Focus Program aims to connect park visitors of all ages to the abundant natural resources accessible at Tuten and Riverside Parks.

In July of 2018 Mayor Nic Hunter launched the citywide initiative aimed at combining private and public dollars to improve park infrastructure and expand programming. Since its inception, Partners in Parks has added more than $500,000 into city parks with no additional burden to tax payers.

City of Lake Charles Park Program Manager Irvin Louque also received the LRPA Young Professional Award.

Louque, a native of Paulina, moved to Lake Charles in 2008 to attend McNeese State University. A student of the university’s Honors College Program, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Conservation and Management, with a concentration in Wildlife Management. He also holds a Master of Science in Environmental and Chemical Sciences.

Employed by the city since 2015, Louque is the program manager for Tuten and Riverside Parks. He also oversees conservation and environmental education projects such as the current Hillcrest Park green stormwater infrastructure grant project.

LeBoeuf, Moore join Lakeside Bank

Lakeside Bank has announced the addition of Aaron LeBoeuf and Mike Moore to their management team.

LeBoeuf has been named senior vice president at Lakeside. Originally from Sulphur, he earned a degree in business management from McNeese State University. He also completed the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and the American Bankers Association Commercial Lending School at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

LeBoeuf brings 17 years of banking experience to his new position and has an extensive background in commercial, residential and consumer lending. He was with First Federal Bank of Louisiana for the past eight years, where he most recently held the position of senior vice president-private banking manager.

LeBoeuf is a past president of the Louisiana Coastal Conservation Authority for the Lake Charles Chapter and serves on the board of the Imperial Calcasieu Human Services Authority.

Moore has been named market development officer/vice president of lending at Lakeside.

He is originally from Orange, Texas, but has called Southwest Louisiana home for 30 years. Moore attended McNeese State University, where he majored in criminal justice, and he is a graduate of the Calcasieu Regional law Enforcement Academy.

Moore has more than 25 years of business development experience and served as a deputy assessor for the Calcasieu Parish Assessor’s Office for eight years. Moore comes to Lakeside from First Federal Bank of Louisiana, where he served as a branch manager for the last two years.

Moore is a member of the Sulphur High School Athletic Association, Knights of Columbus, McNeese Quarter Back and Petrochem Clubs, and committees for the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Lake Charles Golf Tournaments.

LeBoeuf will be working at Lakeside’s Nelson Road in Lake Charles and Moore will be working at the bank’s Sulphur location.
