Man faces domestic abuse charge

JENNINGS – A Jennings man is facing a domestic abuse charge after allegedly hitting his sister during an altercation.

Darrell James Marceaux, 31, was arrested after Jeff Davis Parish sheriff’s deputies responed to a disturbance at a residence in the 244000 block of Placide Road.

When deputies arrived they met with Marceaux who told authorities he had been in a fight with his sister, according to Chief Deputy Chris Ivey.

The victim had visible signs of injuries to her face, he said.

Marceaux also faces a charge of an outstanding contempt of court warrant.

Bond was set at $5,000.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:

Savyon Nikko Hamilton, 23, Missouri City, Texas — illegal possession of stolen things from $5,000 but less than $25,000. Bond: $333,000.

Kylie Rochelle Shillow, 40, 1014 Louisa Drive, Sulphur — theft from $1,000 but less than $5,000; drug possession; prohibited acts, drug paraphernalia. Bond: $6,000.

Hadley Ray Cooper, 21, 1900 La. 101, Vinton — drug possession; prohibited acts, drug paraphernalia; direct contempt of court. Bond: $10,000.

Jerry David Hayes, 26, 1601 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy — illegal possession of stolen things from $1,000 but less than $5,000. Bond: $15,000.

Sebastian Justice Brummett, 23, 219 Groves St., DeQuincy — two counts computer fraud; theft from $5,000 but less than $25,000. Bond: $30,000.

Ricky Lee Swire, 20, 124 Eve Lane — obscenity. Bond: $10,000.

Simantali Rain Battiste, 21, 4318 Dean Drive — use of multiple beam road-lighting equipment; traffic-control signals; aggravated flight from an officer. Bond: $10,750.

Devin Paul Pete, 38, 301 S. Cherry St. — sale, distribution or possession of legend drug without prescription; two counts drug possession; possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by a person convicted of certain felonies; illegal carrying of weapons during commission of a crime or in presence of CDS; obstruction of justice; prohibited acts, drug paraphernalia.

Michael Cody Orme, 40, 600 Starlin Drive, Sulphur — domestic abuse battery.

Charles Damian Cole, 39, 1909 14th St. — illegal use of weapons or dangerous instruments. Bond: $10,000.

Joshua Ray Price, 38, 4343 M. Ogea St. — drug possession; prohibited acts, drug paraphernalia; domestic abuse battery, strangulation; home invasion.

Lee Junior Anderson, 54, 2317 See St. — operating while intoxicated, third offense; operating a vehicle while under suspension for certain prior offenses; stop lamps and turn signals required on new motor vehicles; operating a vehicle while license is suspended; resting an officer by flight. Bond: $9,500.

Kody Blane Mudd, 25, 537 E. Carlon St., Sulphur — two counts drug possession; monetary instrument abuse; prohibited acts, drug paraphernalia; unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. Bond: $16,000.

Chieu Vo Mihn Le, 47, Orange, Texas — illegal possession of stolen things from $5,000 but less than $25,000. Bond: $25,000.

Paul Gabriel Fontanoza, 28, Sour Lake, Texas — failure to register and notify as a sex offender or child predator. Bond: $10,000.

Carlos Anthony Ardoin Sr., 40, 219 Cookie Lane — domestic abuse battery, child endangerment.

Marcus Tylor West, 20, 3225 2nd Ave. — illegal possession of stolen things from $5,000 but less than $25,000; possession of marijuana, first offense (14 grams or less); drug possession; illegal carrying of weapons, first offense.

Rachel Lynn Prince, 37, 313 W. Burton St., Sulphur — domestic abuse battery.
