Timothy James Amos
Timothy James Amos was born July 13, 1965, in Baton Rouge, La., and gained entry into heaven on Jan. 29, 2020.
Mr. Amos loved music and often played his guitar. He was a good cook and enjoyed caring for his aquarium. Timothy was an avid reader and enjoyed many different genres and authors. He graduated from LaGrange High School where played football. Timothy went on to earn certifications in wastewater treatment.
Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Franklin and Mae Moody Amos; his brother, David Allen, Robert Francis; and sister, Tony Anita Amos; his nephew, Matthew Steven Amos (Sr.).
Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Patrick Steven Amos; and sister-in-law, Renee E. Amos.
While Timothy’s death seems sudden, we rest in the knowledge that God orders our steps and there is a time for all things. We have the assurance that he was received into the waiting arms of our Lord and Savior.
A memory of Timothy will be shared at Glad Tidings Church on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020. The family invites you to join them and share their faith and worship at 10:30 a.m.
Private interment will be held at Consolata Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Lakeside Funeral Home of Lake Charles.

Nora Jean Duplechin, 77, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, in a local hospital. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, in Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lacassine Cemetery.
Steve Ellender
Steve Ellender, better known as Dad and Poppy to his children and grandchildren, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. He was a loving husband and grandfather who loved his family dearly. Steve enjoyed watching his grandchildren playing sports. Poppy was always their biggest fan. He also enjoyed going to Disney World, going to the movies, and taking a nap every chance he could. Steve was a member of NewSong United Methodist Church. His love for the Lord was everlasting.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Beth Ellender; daughter and sons-in-law, Stacy and Gary Hines, Tracy and Beau Gautreau, and daughter, Abby Ellender; grandchildren, Ainsley Hines, Christian Gautreau, Landon Gautreau, and Hunter Gautreau; mother, Glenda “Tudda” Ellender; sister, Pam Ellender.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bennett A. Ellender, and other relatives.
Steve was employed by GHD Engineering Group. For over 30 years, Steve was a friend of Bill W. Poppy will be missed by all who loved him. Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Highway, Gonzales, LA, on Saturday, February 1, 2020, from 11 AM until service at 1:30 PM, celebrated by Pastor Scott Wright. Interment will follow at Serenity Oaks on Hwy 73 in Prairieville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NewSong United Methodist Church Building Fund, 18465 Old Perkins Road, Prairieville, LA 70769 in memory of Steve Ellender.

Connie Mack “Big Mack” Foley, 65, was born Aug. 5, 1954, in Lake Charles, La., to Connie B. and Vencine Foley. A resident of Lake Charles, he retired as a cement finisher and was a member of Laborer’s Local 207 Union. Connie Mack was a member of the U.S. Airforce and the Louisiana National Guard. He was a Dallas fan and definitely the Life of the party. He departed this life Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at 11:53 a.m. in a local hospital. He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Shanna Foley and Felecia Chatman, helped raised as a daughter, Wanda Glover; four sons, Connie Chatman, Willie Foley, Cory Foley and Rosha “Demond” Foley; two sisters, Minnie Mae Foley and Mary (Joe) Manning; two brothers, Gerald “Jay” (Deirdre) Foley and Willie “Bill” (Carrie) Foley; eleven grandchildren; godchild, Martin Watley; best friend for over 50 years, David Washington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents.
His funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, at Messiah Baptist Church, Pastor Robert Owens. Evangelist Al King will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. in the church.

Robert “Hoss” Glaude Jr.
Robert “Hoss” Glaude Jr. was born Dec. 20, 1950, in Lafayette, La., to Robert and Rosa Lee Duncan Glaude. A native of Lafayette, La., he resided in Lake Charles for most of his life. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran, former employee of Wilson Supply Company, and retired employee of Mobile Oil Company. He departed this life, Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020. He leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters, Tasha Glaude, Audreanna Rose Glaude and Tessa Glaude; one son, Robert Glaude III; three sisters, Elvina Glaude, Correne Glaude and Pamela Darbonne; two brothers, Gregory (Patricia) Glaude and Warren (Albertine) Glaude; seven grandchildren, Tyler Glaude, Hunter Glaude, Karrington Glaude, Antonio Gauthier Jr., Kendan Hicks, Ava Glaude and Avery Glaude; one great-grandchild, Lillian Easton; and a host of other relatives and friends. His funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Pastor Elmore Garner will officiate. Burial will be in Orange Grove Cemetery. IOWA — R. D. Guillory, 47, of Iowa, La., passed from this life at his home surrounded by family and friends on Jan. 28, 2020.
D. was born on July 10, 1972, to Roland and Elaine (Trahan) Guillory in Lake Charles, La. After graduating from Fenton High School in 1991, he began working for Sweet Lake Land & Oil Co. He was employed there for fourteen years. R. D. then began working as a pipeline heavy equipment operator. For the past five years, he has enjoyed working for Frogco, where he was a Foreman/Amphibious Marsh equipment operator. While work was an extremely important part of his life, his family was his heart, particularly his grandchildren. He showered them with love and attention. Besides spending time with his family and friends, R. D. has a passion for the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He also loved to travel and see new places.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carla Breaux Guillory of Iowa, La.; two children, son, Dustin Guillory and wife Cheyenne of Reeves, La., daughter, Samantha Guillory and fiancé, Joshua (Dirty) Alleman of Creole, La.; his mother, Elaine Guillory of Hecker, La.; three brothers, Randy Guillory (Heather) of Moss Bluff, La., Russell Guillory (Amber) of Iowa, La., and Ryan Guillory (Lee Anna) of Hecker, La.; six grandchildren, Kash, Kaselynn, Kounty and Kaylor Guillory of Reeves, La., and Jaxon and Lincoln Alleman of Creole, La.; godchildren, Brittany Guillory, Luke Breaux, Hunner Newman; and a host of nieces and nephews and family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Roland Guillory; father-in-law, Chris Breaux; infant brother, Robert Guillory; sister-in-law, Jeanine Breaux Todd; brothers-in-law, Joey Todd and Brad Mercer; niece, Alexis Mercer.
A Mass of Christian burial is Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, at 10 a.m. in St. Raphael Catholic Church. The Rev. Dismas Mauk, Celebrant. Visitation begins Friday, Jan. 31, 2020, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Cursillo rosary at 6:30 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation resumes Saturday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
Pallbearers assisting in his service are Paul and Stephen Canik, Russell (Cuz) Samanie, Wes Walker, Dustin Henry, Garrett (Frog) Naquin, Luke Breaux, Robert Newman, Hunner Newman, Brad Buller.
Immediately following the Mass, a reception will be held at the K C Hall, 503 East Highway 90, Iowa, La.

Keitha C. Henagan, a resident of DeQuincy, La., was born Aug. 14, 1957, and passed away Jan. 29, 2020, at the age of 62.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Henagan; children, Susan Sisco and partner Ryan Couch, Veronica Odum and husband Mike; stepchildren, Ryan Guillot and husband Jonathan, Jonathan Henagan and Haley Bush and husband Kris; grandchildren, Juliette Odum, Rory Decker, Andrew Decker, Dylan Guillot, Delaney Guillot, Kelan Bush, Hannah Bush, Kingston Bush, Ava Guillot and Rylee Guillot; parents, Altha Elliott and George Chisolm and wife Mary; siblings, Monty Chisolm and wife Simonia, Quintin Chisolm, Kari Sokolow and husband Mark, Tim Chisolm and wife Priti; Elizabeth Matthews, Patsy Ramos and John Chisolm.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronnie Sisco; and her son, Ryan Sisco

Interment will follow at Squyres Church Risinger Memorial Park, Ragley, La.

Yvonne Holliman, 43, died on Friday, Jan. 24, 2020, at West Cal Cam Hospital. She was a native of Starks, La., and was a resident of Sulphur for over 14 years. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, daughter and aunt. Her family was her pride and joy. Yvonne enjoyed taking trips with her girls and spending quality time with her family.
Survivors include her children Asia Johnson and Aaliyah Holliman, both of Sulphur; two sisters, Terri Rizo and Laverna Holliman; one brother, Craig Como, all of Sulphur; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rita Holliman; father, Floyd Holliman; three brothers; and one sister.
Funeral service for Ms. Holliman will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at New Life Apostolic Church. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Community Cemetery in DeQuincy, La., under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel.

JENNINGS — A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Dinah Stagg Richard, 76, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Skip Dean officiating. Visitation will be at the church from noon on Saturday until time of the celebration.
Mrs. Richard passed away at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
She was a lifelong resident of Jennings, retired pre-school teacher and member of the First Baptist Church. She was someone who enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, music, attending plays, going bike riding, swimming, seasonal decorating, entertaining at her house, going on picnics and going out to eat. She especially loved spending time with her friends, children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Olan “Flip” Richard of Jennings; daughters, Vanessa (Scottie) Lopez, Valerie (Mike) Guidry, all of Jennings, Angela (Josh) Guidry of Lake Charles; one son, Vance (Linda) Richard of Broussard; one sister, Ginger (Skip) Dean of West Monroe; one brother, Richard (Susan) Henry Stagg of Monroe; and her 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Priscilla Gravelle Stagg.

Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Garden of Angels under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Mrs. Stubbs passed away at 12:35 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020, in the Jeff Davis Living Center. Funeral home visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel.
She was a college graduate, earning a bachelor’s degree in education. Her teaching career always involved either Catholic churches or schools. Judy and Peter lived in several states and in Alberta, Canada. She spent her whole career involved in the Catholic School Systems. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Lake Charles where she served as a Lay Minister and Lector.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Ann (Joe) Shelton of Moss Bluff; two sons, Peter B Stubbs Jr. of Edmonton, Alberta, Craig Mathew (Sarah) Stubbs of Moss Bluff; two sisters, Gertrude Dupont of Midland, Dorothy (John) Smith of Jennings; two brothers, Lawrence R. (Janice) Benoit of Jennings, Edmund R. “Randy” Benoit of Jennings; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Mrs. Stubbs was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Olite Hoffpauir Benoit; her husband, Deacon Peter B. Stubbs; and sister, Phyllis Benoit.

Loved by his family and friends, Gitch Wegener died on Jan. 29, embraced by His Lord after 92 years of a well-spent life. Best things of all in his lifetime were his growing-up years in a family of 9, his 65 years of marriage to his wife, Gloria, and his relationships with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and extended family.
Gitch graduated from Lake Charles High School, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, played college football at McNeese Junior College, and worked as an architectural draftsman until he was 83.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, sailing, biking, woodworking and traveling with his wife to faraway places, especially Canada, his wife’s birthplace.
Gitch was the son of Lutheran pastor Theodore Wegener and wife Adeline; husband of Gloria Weichel Wegener; father of Richard (Sharon) and Julie Wegener; granddad (Opa) to Brittany Castillo (Marty), Whitney Mills (Cheyne), and Samantha Causey; and great-granddad to Teddy and Gus Castillo and Madelyn Mills.
Other family survivors include brothers, Al (Edna) and John (Beth); and sisters, Barbara and Esther. Adeline, Marie, Ted, and Lawrence were siblings who preceded him. He has many loving nephews and nieces.
He spent his lifetime enjoying sunrises and sunsets and the lakes and rivers around Lake Charles. He loved his friends, his work, his woodshed, and his boats.
He was cared for in the last few weeks of his life by his daughter, Julie, in his home. Thanks to Heart of Hospice, especially Sherrie, for helping.
There will be a time to greet his family from 12:30 till 2:30 on Saturday, Feb. 1, at St. John Lutheran Church in Lake Charles. Refreshments are provided during that time in the Fellowship Hall. You’re invited! A remembrance service will be held at 2:30 in the church, with Pastor Charles Miller officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to St. John Lutheran Church.
