CONWAY, Ark. — DeAndre Jones poured in a career-high 33 points as Central Arkansas defeated Sam Houston State 89-82 on Saturday, pulling even with the Bearkats in Southland Conference play.

Rylan Bergersen tied a career high with 21 points and had seven rebounds while Eddy Kayouloud added 10 points for UCA, which earned its fourth consecutive home victory.

Dainan Swoope scored a season-high 20 points for the Bearkats. Chad Bowie added 18 points. Kai Mitchell had 13 points.

Zach Nutall scored seven points, half his average, on 3-of-11 shooting.

SAN ANTONIO — Marcus Larsson scored 19 points and Keaston added 18, including a go-ahead free throw, and Incarnate Word ended a four-game skid.

Willis’ go-ahead free throw put the Cardinals up 71-70 with 23 seconds left and Vincent Miszkiewicz hit two more from the foul line before Gerral Gates’ 3-point try at the buzzer missed.

Drew Lutz scored 17 points and made seven assists and Miszkiewicz grabbed nine rebounds for the Cardinals.

Gates scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Privateers. Bryson Robinson scored 17 points and Troy Green had 15.

ABILENE, Texas — Payten Ricks had 13 points for Abilene Christian.

Kolton Kohl had 12 points for Abilene Christian. Coryon Mason added 10 points. Airion Simmons had eight rebounds for the hosts.

Tony Lewis had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Islanders. Peyton Smith added seven rebounds.

HAMMOND — Warith Alatishe had 14 points and 16 rebounds to lift Nicholls State.

Kevin Johnson had 16 points for Nicholls, which earned its fourth straight win. Dexter McClanahan added 14 points.

Elvis Harvey Jr., who was second on the Colonels in scoring entering the game with 11.0 points per game, was held to five points. He was 0 of 5 from 3-point range.

Pape Diop had 16 points for the Lions. Von Julien added 14 points. Byron Smith had 10 points.

Ty Brewer, whose 17.0 points per game coming into the matchup led the Lions, scored eight points on 3-of-14 shooting.

HOUSTON — T.J. Atwood had 21 points and Davion Buster added 20 points for Lamar.

V.J. Holmes had 19 points and seven assists for Lamar. Avery Sullivan added 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Lamar is undefeated (2-0) when scoring at least 100 points this season.

Lamar scored 58 first-half points, a season high for the team.

Ian DuBose had 24 points for the Huskies (1-12, 1-3). Benjamin Uloko added 17 points.
