The second annual Smoke & Barrel, a lively event showcasing barbecue, bourbon and whiskey, along with the art, music and hospitality of Southwest Louisiana, will be held 1-5 p.m. Saturday at 1911 Historic City Hall Arts & Culture Center.
Taking place under the oak trees on the Calcasieu Parish Courthouse lawn, the music lineup will include the sounds of Chris Miller & Bayou Roots, Andrew Duhon and Eric Tessmer.
General admission for the family-friendly event is free with barbecue and beverages available for purchase.
Those with general admission tickets will not have access to the bourbon and whiskey tasting. There are VIP tickets available for purchase and those tickets do have access to the tasting, which will feature more than 75 bourbons and whiskeys.
A wide variety of unique goods created by artisans and craftsmen will also be available during Smoke & Barrel.
Barbecue vendors for the event include Paul’s Rib Shack, Lake Charles; Big Thicket BBQ, Evans; Johnny Ray’s, Port Bolivar, Texas; and The Taste of Texas, Tex Mex BBQ, Beaumont, Texas.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way of Southwest Louisiana.
