Don Allen Breaux Sr.

Don Allen Breaux Sr., 86, of Lake Charles, died Sept. 14, in a local care facility. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens with military honors.

Dr. Francis X. Bride Jr. died Sept. 14. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Trinity Baptist Church. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.

Mary Burgin

Mary Kathleen “Mary Kay” Burgin, 61, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, in a local hospital.

She was born Oct. 12, 1957, in Lake Charles, La., to Winston and Martha Hunt.

She will be remembered as a selfless lady and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will also be remembered for her love of LSU sports, little league baseball, arts and crafts, and the Eagles.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 42 years, Jack Burgin; son, Jack Burgin Jr. (Tonya); grandchildren, Trey Burgin, Meagan, Kade and Blake; great-grandchildren, Remi and Savanah; brother, Winston Ray Hunt II (Terri); numerous nieces and nephews; and step-mother, Jessie Hunt.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Tommy Magee will officiate. Burial will take place in Prien Memorial Park following the service. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home and will continue from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday.

Adrienne Marie Martin

Adrienne Marie Martin, 78 of Ragley, La., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sept. 14, 2019, surrounded by her family.

Adrienne was the daughter of Felix and Laura LaBauve, she was born on Dec. 22, 1940, in Lake Arthur, La. She lived in Ragley and was a member of Topsy Baptist Church. She worked as a finance officer at Grand Casino Coushatta. She loved cooking, traveling, camping and Christmas carriage rides in Lake Charles. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and church family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jimmy LaBauve.

Those left to cherish her memory her husband, Larry Martin Sr.; one son, Larry (Karen) Martin Jr.; three daughters, Cathy (Larry) Ravia, Tina (Leonard) Gray and Donna (Keith) Foreman, all of Ragley, La.; two brothers, Donald LaBauve of New Iberia, La., and Daniel LaBauve, of Sulphur, La.; two sisters, Linda (Wayne) McElveen of Lake Charles, La., and Marjorie McDaniel of Welsh, La.; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Kevin, Larry III, Erica, Joshua, Justin, Cody and Bo; 12 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019, at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Visitation will resume at 8 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.

Funeral Services will be led by Rev. Lloyd Carrol at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019 , at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley.

JENNINGS — Glenda was born in Jennings, La., on Jan. 6, 1952, to Raymond Broussard and Ella Landry Broussard. She was called to her Heavenly Father on Sept. 12, 2019. Glenda was an English Teacher at Fenton High School until she retired. She loved to write, loved to teach children and liked to decorate flowers and work with them. Glenda never met a stranger and she loved to visit with family and friends. Glenda was a kind and loving person she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Glenda is survived by her son, Joshua Ryan Miller (Courtney) of Lake Charles, La.; her four brothers, Daniel Ray Broussard of Hathaway, La., Roger Broussard of Lake Charles, Lenus Broussard of Hathaway, and Keith Douglas Broussard of Hathaway; her brother-in-law, Hank Bourque of Gueydan, La., as well as all their families; and her three wonderful grandchildren, Trenton Miller, Madison Miller and Makenzie Miller.

Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ella Landry Broussard; her sister, Madeline Bourque; and sister-in-law, Kay Broussard.

A Mass of Christian burial for Glenda Gale Broussard Miller, 67, of Lake Charles, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Hathaway, with Father William Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019, at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings, with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume at 9 a.m. until the time of her funeral Mass Wednesday. Glenda will be laid to rest in Raymond/Hathaway Community Cemetery.

Thomas Davis Watson Jr., 89, of Lake Charles, died at 3:10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, in a local care facility. His funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. today, Sept. 16, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
