Funeral service for Paul Noel Guillory Sr. will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the chapel. Mr. Guillory died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019, at 3:30 p.m. in a local hospital. Born in Lawtell, he was a resident of Lake Charles most of his life where he was a member of IHM Catholic Church where he was a former altar server. He was a graduate of W.O. Boston High School and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He worked as an Operator for Consolidated Aluminum and mechanic before retiring from Montgomery Wards. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Linda Webb Guillory; two daughters, Wanda Adam Ennis and Kimberly (Steven) Williams; two sons, Paul N. (Lori Morehead) Guillory Jr. and Patrick Wayne (Ashley) Guillory; one brother, Hilbert “Bob” (Mary) Guillory; sister-in-law, Mary Guillory; 15 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilton, and Hazel Guillory; sister, Dorothy Fontenot; and two brothers, Percy “Jim” Guillory and Edmond Guillory.

Funeral service for Irvin Torrance Phillip, 76, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, in Combre Funeral Home. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park.

Douglas M. Smith Jr.

MOSS BLUFF — Douglas M. Smith Jr. was born July 9, 1950, in Crowley, La., to Douglas and Theresa (Dubois) Smith. He died on Aug. 6, 2019, at home surrounded by family and friends. He graduated from Marion High School and Sowela Technical, where he certified in welding. He worked at PPG for 30 years. He was a member of International Machinist Local 470, where he held the offices of Vice President, Conductor-Sentinel, Steward, and Apprenticeship Committee. He also served as a delegate from 470 to : IAM & AW District Lodge 161, Louisiana State Council of Machinists, SW Louisiana Central trades and Louisiana AFL-CIO. He also won the Apprenticeship of 1974. He farmed wheat and soybeans for many years.

He enjoyed being on a tractor, checking his cows and watching Gunsmoke with Mike Kile. He also loved fishing with Bob Brown and telling stories with Kirk Moore. He loved being with his daughters and son-in-laws. When his granddaughters walked in the room he would light up. He loved spending time with his friends.

Doug is survived by his wife of 42 years, Margaret Smith of Moss Bluff; two daughters, Jaclyn (Kent) Spillars and Kayla (Daniel, he called his Buddy) Rogers; his granddaughters, Abigail Rogers, Briana Havens, Mattie Haller, Brooklynn Rogers and Piper Spillars, all of Moss Bluff; two step-grandchildren, Jaki (of DeRidder) and Keith Spillars (of College Station, Texas); one sister, Celina Yentzen of Moss Bluff ; one brother Denis Smith of Sulphur; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Douglas and Theresa Smith, and best friend, Bob Brown.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at Johnson Funeral in Moss Bluff. Burial will take place at New Ritchie Cemetery following the service. Visitation is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, Aug.11, 2019. Pastor Glyn Bogard will officiate services.

The family would like to thank Harbor Hospice for their care and support during this trying time. Also, a special thanks to Keri, Lindsay, Fredvicka, Lerraine and Alex, you were wonderful with him and we know he appreciated it.

Pallbears will be Brady Brown, Burke Sutherland, Kirk Moore, Rayburn Bushnell, Johnny Dubard and J.D. Miller.

Craig Stevenson, 59, departed this life on Monday, Aug. 5, 2019.

A resident of Sulphur, La., he was an employee of Sasol Refinery. Craig was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed racing, hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley.

He is survived by his wife, Fedra Williams Stevenson of Sulphur, La.; four children, Johnathan LeDee of Houston, Texas, Myressa (Michael) Blake of Lake Charles, La., Sanders (Hailey) Williams of Sulphur, La., and Raymond Stevenson of Lake Charles, La.; mother, Rayma Stevenson of Lake Charles, La.; one sister, Karen Stevenson of Lake Charles, La.; two special people in his life, James Ella Kirkwood and Mona Braxton of Sulphur, La.; 11 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kaitlyn Raye Stevenson; father, Jessie Stevenson; and sister, Lisa Matthews.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at Mossville Truth Tabernacle. Pastor, Lionel Thierry Sr. Pastor Roosevelt Trapp officiating. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Stevens’ Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday 8 a.m.-11 a.m. at the church.

Irma C. “Sister” Toussant

Irma C. “Sister” Toussant, 84, was born March 14, 1935, in Bristol, La., to the late Isaiah and Mary Savoie Thibodeaux Sr. A native of Bristol, she resided in Lake Charles most of her adult life. She was a member of New Light Baptist Church where she served as Senior Deaconess, a Missionary and a Prayer Warrior. She departed this life Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at 5:14 p.m. in a local hospital.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Linda Toussaint; one son, Hamey (Cassandra) Toussaint Jr.; one sister, Julia (Artie Sr.) Washington; three brothers, Pastor Isaiah (Melva) Thibodeaux, Pastor Ernest Thibodeaux and James “Tip” (Deloris) Thibodeaux; and three grandchildren, Darian Toussaint, Dustin Toussaint and Terrance Hodges.

Her visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, with her funeral following at 11 a.m. at New Light Baptist Church. Pastor Isaiah Thibodeaux will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of James Funeral Home.
