Two arrested for burglarizing business (w/2tns)

JENNINGS — Two men were arrested Sunday in the burglary and theft of vehicles at a local business, authorities said.

Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s office spokesman Chris Ivey said the arrest stemmed from a traffic stop initiated by Lake Arthur Police. He said items in the vehicle were recognized as items reported stolen on June 17 from National Oilwell Varco, 4178 Trailer Town Road.

Ivey said one of the subjects was wearing the same shirt seen in surveillance video of the burglaries. Dominick James Sittig, 23, 108 Hawthorne St. in Welsh and Kenneth Trevor Lee, 18, 1835 S. Lake Arthur Avenue in Jennings were charged with four counts simple burglary, criminal damage to property and criminal trespass.

They are both held in the parish jail with no bond.

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:

Brock Fontenot, 33, 1200 block of Cathy Lane, Jennings — careless operation, operating while intoxicated, first offense (misdemeanor).

Crystal M. Bourque, 33, 200 block of N. Lyons Street — marijuana possession; prohibited acts, drug paraphernalia; appearing in an intoxicated condition.

Steven Hensley, 35, 500 block of W. Friesen Road — burglary of an inhabited dwelling; simple criminal damage to property.

John Joseph Douglas, 47, 508 E. Park Drive, Iowa, La. — domestic abuse battery, child endangerment.

Randy Joseph Trent Jr., 30, 1429 3rd Ave. — sexual battery; unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.

Cameron Alen Weber, 27, 2974 Carlock Road, Westlake — theft less than $1,000; identity theft; theft from $5,000 but less than $25,000; two counts bank fraud; four counts forgery. Bond: $145,000.

Jarvis Chadwick Andrews, 34, 826 N. Shattuck St. — theft less than $1,000; prohibited acts, drug paraphernalia; pedestrians on highways or interstate highways; resisting an officer by refusal to I.D.; theft from $1,000 but less than $5,000.

Joseph Lynn Kirklin, 24, 4249 5th Ave. No. 23 — three counts simple burglary; criminal trespass; theft from $1,000 but less than $5,000; resisting an officer.

Christopher James Tomplait, 30, 3098 Hillery Road No. 18, Moss Bluff — cyberstalking, first offense.

Winston Ed Edwards, 23, 1404 Sunset Drive — two counts drug possession; encouraging or contributing to the child delinquency, dependency or neglect; operating vehicle while license is suspended; evidence of motor vehicle liability security contained in vehicle; no seat belt. Bond: $34,000.

Tyler Brooks Venable, 28, 1000 Lori Lane No. 4, Sulphur — unauthorized entry of a place of business. Bond: $25,000.

Chad Elliot Hamilton, 46, 511 N. Perkins Ferry Road, Moss Bluff — theft from $1,000 but less than $5,000. Bond: $10,000.

Barbara Ann Praylor, 23, 2002 Susan St. — domestic abuse battery, child endangerment.

Darrius Jahtay Hall, 25, 2233 Phillip Court — domestic abuse battery, child endangerment.

Bertha Mae Jernell Carter, 31, 202 S. Storer St., Iowa, La. — battery of dating partner, first offense
