Sal Suarez, born Feb. 6, 1932, in Houston, Texas, and passed from his earthly home June 3, 2019, in DeRidder, La.
Preceded in death by parents, Juan and Maria Suarez; sons, Randy Lichtenauer, Joseph Suarez, Chris Suarez; and
daughter, Veronica Lopez; grandson, Justin Dorociak; great-grandson, Cameron Lichtenauer.
Survived by his wife of 46 happy years, Yvonne Frusha Suarez; sister, Carmen Matthews; and daughters, Debbie (Steve) Hall, and Denise Lichtenauer;
grandchildren, Larisa (Chad) Cronce, Brian (Chanta) Lichtenauer , Chris Lichtenauer, Jeremy Clarkson, Ryan (Katelin) Hall and Troy (Victoria) Hall; great-grandchildren, Rees A. Cronce, Brice A. Cronce, Jayce A. Cronce, Kaitlyn M. Lichtenauer, James
A. Hall, and Rhett E. Hall.
Sal thoroughly enjoyed working for Schlumberger in their engineering department as a senior designer and subsequently for several engineering firms in Lake Charles and other states. Sals greatest joy was reading
history books in the Bible. He had a quiet gentle spirit about him and loved spending time with family and friends.
