Royce C. Arthur, 87, a Lake Charles resident, passed away at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, La., on May 29, 2019. He was born on June 30, 1931, in New Orleans, La. Mr. Royce served his country in the Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta M. LeFleur of Lake Charles, La.; two daughters, Karen Mizell and Carol (Charles) LeBlanc; six step children, Charles Jones, Larry Jones, Gary (Carolyn) Jones, Paul (Lisa) LeFleur, Angie (Greg) Lannette, and Eddie LaFleur; 19 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Royce was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph and Alan Arthur; and one infant brother; a sister, Jean Jones; and his parents, Edward N. and Marie Picard Arthur.
Visitation will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 9 a.m. until the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. The Rev. Father Daniel Brouillette will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Williams Cemetery in Isabel, La., with Military Graveside Rites.
John Arthur “Tubby” Broussard
John Arthur “Tubby” Broussard, 66, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019, in Lake Charles, La.
As a young boy, Tubby, attended Sacred Heart Elementary and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he often served as an altar boy during Masses. He also attended Washington High School and later obtained his GED and began working at a young age. He worked as a manager at Church’s Fried Chicken. In his early 20s, he married Jo Ann Green and to this union two children were born. He was a consistently hard worker with a variety of skills. These skills often led him to work as a truck driver. He has worked for Borden’s Milk Company, Superior Steele Supply, Waste Management, Guth Dairy Milk, Freshko to name a few. He also worked at Holly Hill, High Hope and Rosewood Nursing Home. His last place of employment prior to his illness was at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
Tubby enjoyed his time with his family. He and his son were avid WWF and Animal Planet viewers. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and was a former member of the Free Spirit Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed also riding around in his black and gold Malibu. He was often seen riding around with Nixon, his dog. He loved listening to his R&B music and thought highly of his dancing skills. He was an avid player of pranks and practical jokes. He had a beautiful smile that would light up any dark room.
Those left to cherish Tubby’s memory are his mother, Lillian Brisco Broussard; one daughter, Jeannine Broussard; and one son, Raymond Broussard; nine grandchildren, Tre’Vian and Tommia Wolfe, Ja’Lia Broussard, Rayonna, LaNaya, JaNaya, Regan, Raymond Jr. and JaBraylon Broussard; three sisters, Virginia Broussard and Loria (Hubert) Broussard-Keys, all of Lake Charles, and sister, Lois Broussard of Houston, Texas; two nephews, Jamerson (Nicole) Rougeau of Lafayette, La., and Damien Hilliard of Lake Charles, La.; and nine great-nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Draylon, Danaisa, Aliyah, Brielle, Madison and Avery; one godson, Winston Leger Jr. and a host of relatives and friends. Tubby was preceded in death by his father, Isaac Broussard Sr.; and brother, Isaac “Ike” Broussard Jr.; his godparents, Martha Broussard and James “Jimmy” Eaglin.
The family will welcome family and friends at Combre Funeral Home for visitation on Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 8 to 11:30 a.m. A Catholic Mass will follow at noon at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery in Lake Charles under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.

Sidney Clement Sr.
Sidney Clement Sr. was born July 4, 1934, to the union of Gertrude Williams and Bernard Clement. He departed this life on May 27, 2019, peacefully in his home. He attended Sacred Heart High School and later enlisted in the U.S. Army. He returned from military duty where he later met and married Gloria Harris Clement. Sidney was a retiree from PPG Industries in Lake Charles, La.
Sidney was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and Bernard Clement; three brothers, Thomas, Matthew and Fred Clement; and daughter, Sandra Harris Ross.
Sidney leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Gloria Clement of Lake Charles, La.; two daughters, Pamela Clement and Patricia Clement Cormier (Victor), both of Lake Charles, La.; three sons, Wayne McCray, Mark Clement and Sidney Clement Jr., all of Lake Charles, La.; one brother, Charles Clement of Lake Charles, La.; four granddaughters, Keisha Barnett (Richard) and Tiffany Harris, both of Baton Rouge, La., Candyce Clement of Houston, Texas, and Mattielin Clement of Lake Charles, La.; and six great-grandchildren. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Fondel Memorial Chapel, with funeral service beginning at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial services will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Fondel Memorial Funeral Home.

Debra Dellafosse Comeaux
Debra Dellafosse Comeaux, 67, was born April 7, 1952. She was the fifth of 13 children to the late Hardin and Mable (Paul) Dellafosse. Debra was called to eternal rest on Sunday, May 26, 2019, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Debra attended Mossville High School. She is a 1970 graduate of Westlake High School, which was the first class to integrate the school. Debra was a loving family person who would give the clothes off her back for family or friends. She enjoyed company anytime of the day or night and loved having a crowd around. She remembered every birthday, anniversary and special dates. Her favorite pass time was sitting on her porch listening to music and trying to dance.
Debra’s life was her grandchildren — there was nothing she wouldn’t do for her babies. She enjoyed holidays, especially Thanksgiving, because it meant being around family. Debra also loved drinking coffee and having long talks with her best friend of many years, Ophelia “Tinye” Ceasar.
She leaves to cherish her memories two children, Donald Lee Comeaux Jr. of Lake Charles, La., and Donetta (Dereck) Joseph of Sulphur, La.; one brother, Damon (Stacy) Dellafosse of Lake Charles; four sisters, Christine (Delma) Bennett, Tuwana (Curl) Alfred, Melissa (Patrick) Allison, all of Lake Charles, and Hattie (Johnny) Buckley of Iowa, La.; grandchildren D’Andrea (Sam) Dixon, Dylan Higginbothm, Donovan, Donté and Raven Comeaux, all of Lake Charles, Tyler and Rylee Joseph of Sulphur; two god-children, DeAngela ( Deon) Edmonds of Chicago, Ill., and Tanya (Victor) Lavine of Lake Charles; and a host of uncles, aunts, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Debra was proceeded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Comeaux Sr. of 35 years; son, Damian Comeau; parents, Hardin and Mable Dellafosse; brothers, Mack, Anthony (Peanut), Otis, Donald and Patrick Dellafosse; one sister, Glinda (Che-Che) Bridgeman; nephews, Charles Bridgeman Jr. and Jonathan (Dub) Buckley; and one niece, Malika Bennett Glands.
Debra will truly be missed by all who knew her and loved her. Visitation will be from 8-11:45 a.m. June 1, 2019, at Fondel Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon at St. Henry Catholic Church, located 1021 8th Ave, Lake Charles, LA 70601. Interment will follow at Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel.

Margaret Jackson Crowe
Margaret Jackson Crowe, a Lake Charles native and resident of Diana, Texas, for more than forty years entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 19, 2019.
Margaret was a woman of many firsts and many talents. Dedicated and faithful worker in her church. First African American employed by the Social Security Administration in Southwest Louisiana. She was a 30+ year Silver Star member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and designer of the Alpha Kappa Alpha’s official Corsage. Graduate of W O Boston High School and Southern University.
She is survived by her two sons, Henry (Lydia) Flemings of Austin, Texas, Johnafel (Danielle) Crowe of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Joel Lynn (Ken) Bears of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; brother, Henry H. (Joice) Jackson of Lake Charles, La.; sister, Easter Troullier of New Orleans, La.; and sisters-in-law, Leola Jackson of Baton Rouge, La.; host of nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded her in death were her husband, Henry A Crowe; parents, Clarence and Rachel H. Jackson; brothers, Columbus, Arthur Lee; and twins, Clarence and Claude Jackson; sister, Marilyn Holmes.
Service will be Saturday, June 1, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. at Galilee Baptist Church located at 1301 S. High St., in Longview, Texas, with viewing beginning at 10:30.

Elaine Cormier Duhon, 86 was born Dec. 27, 1932, in Lake Charles, La., to the late George and Sadie Kelly Duhon. A lifelong resident of Lake Charles, she was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church. She departed this life Saturday, May 25, 2019, in Lake Charles.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Gwen (Russell) Ceaser, Marty Cormier Fobbs and Sadie Coleman; six sons, Gregory Cormier, Terrell Cormier, Craig Cormier, Hugh George “Pumie” Cormier, Julius C. Cormier and Mark Lynn Cormier; one brother, Huey Lee (Mattie) Duhon; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Cormier; two children, Bardie Cormier and Eva Cormier Reed; her parents, and one grandchild, Terrance Cormier. Her funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Pastor Elmore Garner will officiate. Burial will be in Hi Mount Cemetery under the direction of James Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the church.

Kenneth Loydd Hunt
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Kenneth Loydd Hunt, 73.
He was born in Bel, La., and lived in Moss Bluff. He worked construction as a Millwright for Olin Corp for 20 years, Bowman Distribution, Pilgrim Construction, Performance Contractors and many others. He also owned his own business and after his retirement he was in Real Estate. He was a member of Longville 1st Baptist Church. He was a compassionate person who loved helping others.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Ellis Hunt of Moss Bluff; son, Robby Hunt of Moss Bluff; daughter, Melanie Foreman and husband Kyle of Westlake; brothers, Charles Hunt and wife Jeanne of St. Amant, La.; Richard Hunt and wife Carol of North Dinwiddie, Va.; Ralph Hunt and wife Shelia of Moore, Okla.; sister, Betty Miles and husband John of Palatka, Fla.; grandson, Asa Paul Foreman; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Also, his dear friends from McDonalds in Westlake and Randy’s Barber Shop in Moss Bluff. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather brother and friend.
Visitation will be Friday, May 31, 2019, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and resume Saturday at 8 a.m. until service at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Stuart Graves will officiate. Burial will follow at Creel Cemetery.

Shane Pickering was born on Dec. 26, 1973, and passed away at his residence in Fields, La., on May 29, 2019, at the age of 45.
He is survived by his sons, Darren Kade Pickering, Dillon Kory Pickering and wife Te’Ann Marie; grandchildren, Kylan Dane, Kenton Dax, Kreed Dash and Kamaeha Daisy; parents, Edward Allen and Janis Smith Pickering; brother, Michael Trent Pickering and nephews, Slade and Brody. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Shawn Pickering Wilfer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Allen and Goldie Pickering and Clarence and Barbara Smith.
