A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in a fatal Sunday afternoon shooting, authorities said.
Lake Charles Police Capt. Kevin Kirkum said when officers arrived at 518 Reid St. on Sunday, they found 23-year-old Kendal Mose had been shot.
The suspect in the shooting fled the scene in a vehicle, Kirkum said.
Mose was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his wounds and the shooting was ruled a homicide, Kirkum said.
He said about an hour later, officers located the suspect in the vehicle he was driving in the 1600 block of St. John Street. He was taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder, illegal carrying of weapons, resisting an officer, and illegal possession of handgun by a juvenile.
