Home Instead Senior Care provides non-medical, inhome care and personal care. Home Instead Senior Care can assist with bathing, dressing and getting around the house. Services can include providing transportation, running errands, doing light housekeeping, reminding seniors to take medicines, preparing meals and even offering a little conversation to guard against social isolation, which can lead to poor health.
HISC can serve seniors at home — helping them maintain their independence as long as possible — in assisted living facilities and even in nursing homes.
HISC has been serving Southwest Louisiana for the past 15 years. “The success of any company, and particularly the success of this type of company, would not be possible without a great team, and we have one,” said George Cestia, owner. “Not every person is cut out for this type of work. It requires a good work ethic and compassion.”
Rates are hourly with a minimum of four hours per day and care can be arranged for up to 24 hours. Overnights can be scheduled for one night or more. Eight, 10 and 12-hour shifts are available for overnights.
Services are paid through private pay, workers compensation insurance, some VA benefits and long-term care insurance.
Caregivers are screened, trained, insured, bonded, background checked and drug tested.
