A verbal altercation Thursday at the Shell Station at Enterprise and College streets resulted in a drive-by shooting, according to Lake Charles Police.

Police say the victim left the station and arrived at a residence on 11th Street and upon exiting the vehicle he arrived in, he observed the same vehicle involved in the altercation he had at the gas station parked in front of the 11th Street address.

The victim said upon exiting the vehicle he was in, the passenger in the other vehicle exited and shot approximately 4 to 5 times in his direction. The victim was not struck but advised he was grazed by one of the bullets. The suspects then fled the location.

This investigation is still active and anyone with any information that could assist is asked to please call the Lake Charles Police Department.

The lead investigator is Detective Andrew Malveaux.
