HUNTSVILLE, Texas — Cameron Delaney scored 24 points and Josh Delaney had 12 assists to lead Sam Houston State’s 69-59 victory over Lamar on Saturday night.
Cameron Delaney made a career-high 6 of 9 3-pointers and grabbed seven rebounds. Kai Mitchell had 12 points and Albert Almanza scored 10 for the Bearkats, who shot a season-high 14 3-pointers.

Josh Nzeakor had 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting and made it a double-double with 10 rebounds for Lamar. Nick Garth scored 14 points and Jordan Hunter added 10 for the Cardinals.
The Southland-leading Bearkats have won eight in a row and nine of 10. SHSU leads Abilene Christian and Texas A&M Corpus Christi by two games in the loss column.
The win was the seventh win a row in conference play for the Bearkats, and the first 7-0 start in league play since the 2009-10 season when they started 11-0 on their way to winning the conference title.

SAN ANTONIO — Bryson Robinson buried five 3-pointers and scored 18 points for New Orleans.

Robinson was the lone threat from beyond the arc for the Privateers. The junior guard hit 5 of 9 from distance, while his teammates made 1 of 12. He added three of UNO’s nine steals. Damion Rosser scored 11 on 5-of-6 shooting and grabbed five rebounds, while Ezekiel Charles added 10 points.
Christian Peevy led the Cardinals with 20 points and 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. Peevy hit 10 of 15 shots as UIW shot 50 percent from the floor, but 29 percent (5 of 17) from beyond the arc. Augustine Ene added 16 points, while Charles Brown III scored 11.
UIW has lost nine of its last 10.

ABILENE, Texas — Jalone Friday scored 17 points and Abilene Christian claimed sole possession of second place.
The Wildcats bounced back from a tough 61-60 loss at Stephen F. Austin that saw the Lumberjacks score eight points in the final 26 seconds to pull out a win that snapped a four-game win streak.
ACU built a 10-point lead in the first half and pulled away in the second. Four players scored in double digits and 14 players saw playing time.
Jaren Lewis and B.J. Maxwell each added 16 points for the Wildcats. Hayden Koval and DeAndre Jones each scored 13 points for Central Arkansas.

NATCHITOCHES — Marlain Veal totaled 21 points and six rebounds and Southeast Louisiana dominated the first half and coasted to the victory.
Brandon Gonzalez added 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting from 3-point range as the Lions shot 41 percent from the floor and beyond the arc. Gonzalez added nine rebounds to help SLU control the glass 40-31. Freshman Tyron Brewer snagged 10 rebounds and finished a point shy of notching his first double-double. Moses Greenwood and Von Julien scored 10 apiece and Julien added six assists.
Ishmael Lane was the lone Demon to reach double figures, scoring 11. He grabbed 13 rebounds for his third straight double-double. Northwestern State shot 35 percent from the floor and made 5 of 24 from distance (21 percent).
The Demons (7-13, 2-5), who never played with a lead, hung with the Lions until the final 5 minutes of the first half. Lane’s jumper pulled Northwestern State within 22-21, but Julien capped an 18-5 run to close out the half with two 3-pointers to put the Lions up 40-26 at intermission. The Demons got no closer than five in the second half.
