Monica Nicole Chaisson, 46, a resident of Pine Island
passed from this life on Dec. 30, 2018, in the comfort of her home.
Nikki as she was known by her family and friends was a loving daughter, sister, and friend. She possessed a very shy, quiet and kind-hearted nature. In her free time, she
enjoyed reading, working in her garden and enjoyed the outdoors with her dog, Tiger. Nikki worked at a Coushatta Casino and Resort for over 15 years, where she started in housekeeping and worked her way up into the Accounting Department.
Nikki is predeceased by her fiancé, Pat “Pinkey” Gilmore.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving parents, Roger Dale and Donnalen Hardy Chaisson; one sister, Evette Sonnier and husband Kenley and their children Alex
Chaisson and Devan Sonnier; her faithful companion, Tiger; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ms. Chaisson’s cremation has been entrusted to Lakeside Funeral Home of Lake Charles. A gathering of friends will be held at a later
date.
