Gladys Pearl McFarland

Gladys Pearl McFarland, 91, a native of Leesville, La.,
and current resident of Lake Charles passed from this life on Dec. 31, 2018, in a local care facility.
She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She lived a long and full life and lived everyday to its fullest. In
her spare time she loved traveling, sewing, and visiting with others. Gladys will be remembered by many for the thoughtful and personal hand-written cards she wrote. She loved her family more than anything and a woman of strong faith.
She
is preceded in death by her parents Herman J. and Callie Strother Nash, sons, Claude Daniel Moro and Dale Wayne Moro, and seven brothers and sisters.
Gladys leaves to cherish her memory her son David Hayes and wife Dorie of Lake Charles;
her loving grandchildren, Sean Hayes, Sherry Thompson, Darrell Hayes, Cynthia Hayes Burkhart, Brittany Hayes and Morgan Hayes Simon; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister Pauline Ferrer.
The family will
receive visitors from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday, Jan. 4. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, in the chapel of Lakeside
Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rosepine Cemetery.
