Burrow, one of the hottest names among potential transfers, is a redshirt junior but has graduated and will be immediately eligible.
He’ll join a quarterback competition that includes sophomore Danny Elting, redshirt freshman Lowell Narcisse and junior Justin McMillan, none of whom was able to seperate themselves from the pack during spring practice.
Burrow, 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, was a four-star recruit out of Athens (Ohio) High School and was Named Ohio’s Mr. Football in 2015. He was rated as the No. 8 dual-threat quarterback in the nation.
Burrows’ father, Jimmy, is defensive coordinator at Ohio University.
He reportedly also considered Cincinnati, which he visited last week, but chose LSU after a two-day visit last weekend.
Burrow has been a reserve for three years with the Buckeyes, but will have the most college experience of the four vying for the LSU job.
