Code doesn’t address screening of residents’ bins

<p class="p1"><strong>We have someone in the neighborhood that never puts his garbage can away from his, believe it or not, front door.</strong></p><p class="p1"><strong>It’s completely visible; it looks terrible. Why not the garage or behind his fence, we don’t know. Is there any regulation about doing something like that?</strong></p><p class="p2">No, said Matt Young, Lake Charles city spokesman.</p><p class="p2">Nothing in the city code grants officials the authority to require the screening of residential trash bins, Young said.
