Assistant District Attorney Carla Sigler, who provided the above information, said the case numbers don’t reflect prosecutors’ actual workloads. “All Assistant District Attorneys render advice and assist on a multitude of cases to their fellow prosecutors, yet that will never be reflected on an official case load list if a given case is not directly assigned to their respective divisions,” Sigler wrote in a letter accompanying the salary and case number lists, sent in response to a public records request. “Team work is critical and highly valued in Mr. DeRosier’s office. In addition, supervisory attorneys and Section Chiefs, most notably First Assistant DA Cynthia S. Killingsworth, Administrative First Assistant DA Loren Lampert, and Chief Felony Prosecutor Cliff Strider, potentially advise on all cases in all divisions.” Also, Sigler said, some attorneys — including her, Karen McClellan, Charles Robinson and Elizabeth Hollins — work separate caseloads as part of different programs such as expungements and the court’s mental health, DWI, drug and veterans treatment programs.
<strong>DA compensation</strong>
According to his office’s latest financial review, District Attorney John DeRosier earned $192,611 in 2016. Including benefits, such as insurance, car lease, cellphone, fuel and travel costs, his compensation that year totaled $237,782. DeRosier earned $184,219 in 2015 and $162,902 in 2014; total compensation those years amounted to $231,581 and $212,071.
