Nancy Granich, Owner, Corner Gallery Antiques
“Purchasing an antique is not only a good strategy for setting your home apart,” said Nancy Granich. “It can also be a good investment.”
Antiques, handcrafted during a time when furnishings were built to last forever, often retain their value. Rare finds in good condition could increase in value.
As an added bonus, spending a couple of hours checking out all this store has to offer — including the great pricing — can be lots of fun.

It is easy to imagine the Corner Gallery’s opulent mirrors, framed fine art and sparkling chandeliers in homes of yesteryear and in your home today.
See Corner Gallery’s large selection of cupboards, armoires, sideboards and dressers. Corner Gallery has a variety of tables: sofa, barley twist, drop-leaf, library, farm-style, dining, folding card and coffee. Choose from the carved and highly ornate to the simple yet elegant.

The wicker, wrought iron, birdcages and hand-painted lamps will thrill Shabby Chic lovers.
Don’t miss the antique toys, men’s pipes, steampunk art, linens and the tall, narrow hand-painted chests of drawers in the back of the store. (These are the perfect size to use in closets, small bedrooms or for lingerie. Plus the pricing suits the bargain hunter.)
The Fred G. Hannie fishing flys are so realistic, magazines feature his work, and one writer described it as so lifelike, “you’ll wonder how he keeps the shrimp he threaded on a hook from stinking up his fly box.”
The spacious Corner Gallery building and beautiful arrangement of items makes it easy for shoppers to score at least one item they’ve been looking for. They might even discover that perfect something they had no idea they needed – until it’s spotted it at Corner Gallery.
“I sold five escargot plates yesterday,” said Nancy Whelchel Hickman.
Hickman is a gemologist, and one of twelve vendors at Corner Gallery. She restrings pearls, offers some estate pieces and sells her own jewelry designs. Her hard-to-find, handmade Star of David pendants remain a more popular seller than the escargot plates. (However, she does have a few left if that’s exactly what you’ve been searching for.)
