<p class="p1"><strong>71-year-old man charged with rape</strong></p><p class="p2">A 71-year-old Silsbee, Texas, man was arrested Wednesday after he admitted raping a 17-year-old girl, authorities said.</p><p class="p2">Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said the victim told detectives that Gregg L. Hammock had inappropriate sexual contact with her in 2017 while he was living in the parish. </p><p class="p2">Myers said Hammock confirmed the allegations against him and was booked on one count of first-degree rape. Judge Clayton Davis set bond at $750,000.</p><hr /><p class="p2"> </p><p class="p2">Sulphur police reported the following arrests:</p><p class="p4"><strong>Carie Denean Martin</strong>, 36, Alice Street, Sulphur — bench warrant, contempt of court, two counts of drug possession, drug paraphernalia.</p><p class="p4"><strong>Keith Lamaar Brown</strong>, 58, Jackson, Ala. — reckless operation, no license.</p><p class="p4"><strong>Valentin Cisneros</strong>, 33, Bryan, Texas — careless operation, driving under suspension, drug possession, drug paraphernalia.</p><p class="p5">l</p><p class="p2">The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:</p><p class="p4"><strong>Billy Jack Boatman</strong>, 33, 455 Scheufens Road, No. 3 — drug possession, firearm possession by a person convicted of certain felonies, drug paraphernalia, illegal carrying of weapons. Bond: $19,250.</p><p class="p4"><strong>Stevie Ann Nope</strong>, 21, 202 E. Jim Pickens Road, Sulphur — drug possession. Bond: $25,000.</p><p class="p4"><strong>Damond Jemar Levings</strong>, 27, 2321 Power Centre Parkway — firearm possession by a person convicted of certain felonies, possession of stolen firearms. Bond: $20,000.</p><p class="p4"><strong>Joshua Byrd Hardin</strong>, 32, 3708 Nelson Road — domestic abuse battery strangulation.</p>
