LSU head coach Ed Orgeron completed his coaching staff Thursday, apparently with heavy input from defensive coordinator Dave Aranda.
The Tigers selected Rutgers co-defensive coordinator Bill Busch to be the safeties coach, filling the 10th assistant spot that the NCAA recently allowed in enlarging staffs.

It will be Busch’s first Southeastern Conference job, but he’s no stranger to big-time programs and he’ll see a familiar face at LSU.
He served with Aranda on Wisconsin’s staff after the two first hooked up on the Utah State staff for a year. Busch was promoted to associate head coach while at Wisconsin.
“Bill is a consummate pro who can scheme, coach technique and recruit,” Aranda said in a release provided by the school. “We are looking forward to getting him down here. On top of all of that, he is a great guy.”
Busch will work in the defensive backfield with secondary coach Corey Raymond.
Busch, 52, a former receiver at Nebraska Wesleyan, has also coached on Urban Meyer’s staff at Ohio State, along with stops at Utah State, Nebraska, Utah and New Mexico State.
