Three suspects arrested in Welsh shooting

<p class="p1">WELSH – Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a Welsh man whose body was found under a carport last week.</p><p class="p2"> </p><p class="p1">Trevonte Lamarque Talbert, 22, who has addresses in Welsh and Brusly, Nicholas "Nick" Anderson, 25, of Lafayette and Terrell "TJ" Williams IV, 25, of Franklin are charged with second-degree murder in the death of Nehemiah Gary, 25, of Welsh.</p><p class="p2"> </p><p class="p1">All are being held on a $1 million bond.</p><p class="p2"> </p><p class="p1">The arrests were announced Thursday during a press conference attended by multiple law enforcement agencies.</p><p class="p2"> </p><p class="p1">Welsh Police Chief Marcus Crochet said investigators are working with the FBI and other police agencies on a possible motive for the shooting.</p><p class="p2"> </p><p class="p1">So far more than 31 search warrants have been issued for residences, cell phones and vehicles as part of the ongoing nvestigation.</p><p class="p2"> </p><p class="p1">Gray’s body was found outside a residence in the 200-block of North Coleman Street by police responding to reports of gunshots in the area. He died of multiple gunshot wounds at the scene.</p>
