CPPJ app made superfluous by revamped site

Why did the Police Jury remove the Eagle App?

Calcasieu Parish officials said last year that the app, provided by a third party, would be superfluous once they launched the Police Jury’s new website, so they chose to discontinue it.

The new site, better suited than the old site to mobile devices, allows residents — as the app did — to report problems, including property standards violations and pot holes.

On mobile devices, scroll down and tap on the “Report a Problem” link. Provide your name, ZIP code, email address and phone number, along with details on the location in question and your specific request.

On desktop computers, select the “I Want To” tab and click on the “Report” link; the links on the next page will allow you to report ordinance violations, missing animals, flood damage and issues with mosquitoes.

Additionally, you can use the site to find contact information for the police jurors and other parish officials.
