This 1958 photo provided by The United States Marine Corps shows. Photographer Dickey Chapelle is shown taking photos on the shores of Lake Michigan during a U.S. Marines operation. Chapelle, originally from Wisconsin who’s believed to be the first female U.S. journalist killed in a war has become an honorary Marine. Chapelle was declared an honorary Marine last month at the Marine Corps Combat Correspondents Association annual dinner. She died in 1965 at the age of 47 while covering the Vietnam war when a marine near her tripped a booby trap. (Lew Lowery/U.S. Marine Corps via AP)
