KVHP-TV runs ABC feed on one of its channels

I see Lake Charles now has an ABC station, in addition to the new CBS station. Who owns and operates these stations?

The channel broadcasting ABC — 29.2 — is operated by KVHP-TV, which is owned by American Spirit Media. That channel used to carry the CW, which is now available on Channel 7.2.

Channel 7.2, along with  7.1, 7.3 and 7.4, is run by KPLC-TV, which is owned by Raycom Media and has shared-services and studio-lease deals with American Spirit Media.

“Southwest Louisiana ABC will simulcast local news from Raycom Media’s NBC affiliate KPLC at 5-7 a.m., 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.,” reads a story posted Aug. 23 by TVNewsCheck.

“An exclusive 6:30 p.m. weekday Southwest Louisiana ABC local newscast is slated to start in mid-October.”

The CBS station, KSWL-TV, is owned by Lake Charles Television LLC, which provides three channel feeds: 17, 19 and 19.2.
