7 named finalists for Shreveport Police chief

<span class="RACopyBody">SHREVEPORT — Seven people have been named finalists for police chief in Shreveport.</span>

<span class="RACopyBody">Mayor Ollie Tyler narrowed a list of 19 candidates to the seven announced Wednesday. They are seeking to replace former Chief Willie Shaw, who retired in July.</span>

<span class="RACopyBody"><a href="http://bit.ly/2ghIAPR">The Times</a> reports the candidates include Alan Crump, the current interim police chief; Janice Dailey, a sergeant with the Shreveport Police Department; Rodney Horton, a sergeant with the Shreveport Police Department; Greg Jones, a captain with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office; Darwin Jones, a captain with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s office; Benjamin Raymond, a corporal with the Shreveport Police Department, and Wayne Smith, assistant chief of police with the Shreveport Police Department.</span>
