SFA ends Cowgirls soccer season

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Stephen F. Austin ended McNeese State’s soccer season 4-2 Friday in the semifinals of the Southland Conference tournament.
<span class="R~sep~ACopyBody">The sixth-seeded Cowgirls scored the first goal only to see No. 2 SFA score the next four.</span>
<span class="R~sep~ACopyBody">Cowgirls freshman Rachel Palet scored her third goal of the season on a shot from 30 yards out 10 minutes into the game. Breanna Moore, Meghan Corder, Hanna Barker and Julianna Echavarry, answered for SFA (13-4), which will play the winner of Friday’s Central Arkansas-Houston Baptist game in Sunday’s championship game. Junior Savannah LaRicci scored her 10th goal of the season with 7 seconds left in the match to make it 4-2.</span>
