<span class="RACopyBody">NORCO — Railroad work crews have found a body in Lake Pontchartrain, just west of the entrance canal to the lower section of the Bonnet Carre Spillway.</span>

<span class="RACopyBody">The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office says crews with the KCS Railroad notified deputies about 7 a.m. Wednesday. Once on the scene, sheriff’s detectives found a woman’s body in an advanced decomposed state.</span>

<span class="RACopyBody">Authorities say the woman was wearing a red and white plaid, button-down shirt, a white under shirt and a blue sports bra.</span>

<span class="RACopyBody">This incident is still under investigation.</span>
