A Lake Charles bank was robbed Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Lake Charles Police Deputy Chief Mark Kraus said the department was contacted at about 9:32 a.m. about a robbery at Whitney Bank, 2828 La. 14.

Kraus said a white man with a scare on his cheek robbed the bank and fled in a silver 2015 or 2016 Chrysler 200.
