Woman struck, killed on Interstate 210

<span class="R~sep~ACopyBody">A woman was struck and killed Monday on Interstate 210, authorities said.</span>
<span class="R~sep~ACopyBody">Lake Charles Police Deputy Chief Mark Kraus said his office responded to a two-vehicle crash in the westbound lane of the I-210 bridge over Contraband Bayou, between Lake Street and Nelson Road, at about 10:12 p.m. Monday.</span>
<span class="R~sep~ACopyBody">He said the driver of one of the vehicles, a 1999 Saturn, exited her vehicle and was struck and killed by another westbound vehicle.</span>

<span class="R~sep~ACopyBody">Standard toxicology results are pending, he said. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.</span>
